Thanks JAR for keeping my challenge alive. As I wrote I totally accept the way the things are handled and I will only challenge a team with % worse than mine. To be honest, I don't think my team is in the right shape for any more games this season.

But when you are a rat among cats, you better roar like a lion Wink

Better draft position? LOL We can't keep draft picks on the field much less worry about future draft position.

So the last game to be played is Houston Texasaurus vs Indianecropolis. Houston needs the win to get into playoffs. Anything else and Cleaveland gets in even with their loss... where they would play me again. When is the Houston game?

Playoff brackets up. Ladies and gentlemen, pick your winners!

This also means Licker is out of excuses on postseason awards.

AWARDS FOR THE NBFL SEASON 12

The season has finally ended, the playoffs are set, and now it's time to reveal the winners of the most prestigious awards this side of then NCBB.

1st we have a non award, but the Golden Boot goes to...

Griff Whalen of the Indianecropolis Pejòshkwe

Griff held off a late charge from Quinton Coples who wound up with a whopping 42 fouls! Griff though managed to land 43 boots, and takes home the prize this season.

Now with that out of the way let's move on to the specialist awards!

1st up we have the award for the top Passer in the league.

Initially Billie the Bow [HSU] of Buffalo was leading the charge here, and while he finished with impressive totals of 16 completions for 81 squares he was a far far distant runner up to the champion.

Danny White Elm of Dallas ended with 24 completions for a whopping 156 paces thrown! Congrats to Danny, but lets all just keep in mind that neither of these teams made the playoffs. Passing to win... apparently not the best plan!

2nd up we have the award for top Scorer!

Here again we wound up with a clear cut winner. There was a pile of players who ended the season with 9 TDs, notable among them Chris "Pretty" Harison, last years Super Bowl MVP from Philhala. However Julio HackCough from Ban Francisco managed 11 scores, and yet he was 4 back from the champion David Tryhard of Hacksonville.

David Tryhard also lead the league in squares rushed wit 301, and he even stuck a boot in a couple of times showing that he had more on his mind than just the pretty stats!

3rdly we have the award for top Hitter!

This was a 2 man race almost from the beginning. Willy McKillest of New Angryland and Darrel Scott of Miami were head and shoulders ahead of everyone else. 3rd place had 16 casulaties, but both Willy and Darrel were well beyond that mark. Willy finished with 22 CAS while Darrel put on a show in his week 14 game against Buffalo to push his total to 24. The blocks thrown from the two showed Willy landing 122 blocks while Darrel was a bit more judicious throwing only 96. It's a bit hard to really differentiate these players, most of the time it's easy to just pick the higher total, but with both players doing so much for their teams this is tricky.

Darrel caused 2 more CAS, but Miami failed to reach the playoffs. Darrel also threw less blocks overall, so while his rate may have been better, his total usage wasn't as good. In the end the judges were deadlocked on this one, and decided to name Willy and Darrel Co-Champions. Congratulations to both players!

Finally we have the most coveted award in all of FUMBBL. The MVP of the NBFL.

This was a hottly contested field throughout the season, with several players at various points of the season making a claim for it. Indeed it's hard to overlook a player like Tryhard who really scored at will it seemed. Even players like McKillest and Scott did a massive amount of damage for their teams.

However, this award really looks for a player who excelled in all facets of the game. And in the end there were 3 players who stood out beyond everyone else. All of them from the NFCE!

David Carrnage New York Giant Leeches 3 Completions 9 TDs 10 CAS 66 Rushes

J. Riggins Flashington Redheads 7 Compeltions 9 TDs 8 CAS 187 Rushes

Anguan Gobldin New York Giant Leeches 12 Completions 9 TDs 2 CAS 212 Rushes

Wow, what stat lines, any of the three could be considered the MVP, and it's amazing that 2 of them actually hail from the same team!

Now, full disclosure... all 3 of them are actually Vampires, though Riggins is just an honorary vampire, still, having stat lines of 6447(8 ) and access to blodge and other Strength skills is clearly an advantage for these players, but hey, if you have the ability you still need to actually perform, and as you saw from their stats above, all 3 of them performed.

But, there can be only one MVP, and much as we'd like to honor all 3 of them, one of them did stand out a bit from the other two.

That player, the winner of the 1st NBFL MVP is...

J. Riggins!

Congratulations to Flashington for picking up this award. Riggins just did a little of everything, passing, scoring, bashing, and rushing. Maybe if New York had tried to focus their offense more on just one of their dynamic vampires the story would be different, but the Leeches shouldn't complain that much, making the playoffs in your inagural season is quite an accomplishment in and off itself.

So congratulations to all the winners! Stick a blurb on the player and team pages, and maybe at some point, we'll actually have some artwork for you to display.

Oh, by the way, I have the stats downloaded and sorted in Open Office, if anyone wants a copy I will email it, or, if anyone knows of a nice free place that hosts stuff like that I'll stick it there (or email it to you and you can stick it there).

There were a lot of players who had great seasons, and unfortunately FUMBBL doesn't let you look at stats from selected games only (thanks Shraaaag!!!). However, running the scripts, downloading the stats, and filtering/sorting them doesn't take up an inordinate amount of time, but it's still one of those things that you don't really want to do just for the hell of it.

Someone was supposed to submit their playoff preview, but now Denver NA have ruined it (unless they were picking Denver to choke more than Peyton chokes when he sees multiple penises).

Anyway, not to rub salt in the wound, but if you watch the replay you will kick robo for himself.

Also, all the NA haters...

You can go @#$@#%!#$^%^%^!@#$^!#%^ yourselves!!!

Very Happy
