Hi,
I've recently switched again to Ubuntu and I had some hard time with OpenJDK.
Then, I found a way to install Oracle Java and now I can play. I wish people like me would find the few simple steps I did in our Help guide, but I'm not sure about he page to modify (I've recently modified a page about seeing or not the whole client window, but the infos about installing oracle java do not belong there).
I was thinking about this page: http://fumbbl.com/help:Help%2C+I+can%27t+get+Java+to+run+at+all
I'd make it a bottom-page add, something like "For Ubuntu users"
Someone agrees?
PS: Btw, I'd just add this:
"Get Oracle Java 7 by typing the following commands from terminal:
sudo apt-get purge openjdk*
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/java
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install oracle-jdk7-installer" |

Cool, from what i know and experienced it doesnt make sense at all to try it with openjdk and icedtea - so its a great enhancement the information is out now to find easily for anyone that is cursed with linux.
Btw, did anyone find a way to get the sound handling issue solved? The suggestions and what i played around with didnt solve it and i dont like computers at all, so i probably never will get into this deeper anymore. But i want to hear all the /boos finally!  |

If anyone has issues with the not signed key from the installer.
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://subkeys.pgp.net --recv-keys C2518248EEA14886
Did fix the problem for me
Btw, as we speak
sudo apt-get install oracle-jdk8-installer
installs the most recent version. |
