So I've been trying my hand at E.L.F. in Ranked and as a result have been looking for games with my Ranked Darkies. I also put my Woodies on Gamefinder because they needed a few recovery matches before going back to playing tourneys. Lately both teams have been in the same TV range. And I've had it three times now that I offered a match with my Darkies and the other coach green-lighted my Woodies instead.
Both Darkies and Woodies have one MB but the Woodie has Tackle, too. Plus the Tree has MB. Plus there's an AG6 Wardancer and a Wrestle/Tackle/Strib Ball Wardancer. These Woodies are, by my reckoning, by far the more uncomfortable opponent. So, what's up with that? It never happened the other way round...
Any thoughts? |

Though I'd wager your dark elves would get more offers from Clawpombers
Also, more block on the dark elf team. And that juicy -AV war dancer.

Darkies == AV 8 - tough cookies, can reasonably expect to get into a bashing game
Wood Elves == AV 7 - you might beat me, but I'ma gonna get some precious SPP by killing all linelvz |

Hehe @ Cavetroll & Carlo.
So in essence, people prefer skilling up their team over winning? OR people just think Woodies must be easier to beat because they have AV7? I'll do my next E.L.F. cycle with Woodies.^^ |

Against most teams that do bash, but don't claw, delves are the stronger opponent imo. |

To be fair, remember picking works both ways. I mainly coach the 4 chaotic teams, and every one of my 10 teams in R has more games against DElves, because Woody coaches tend not to accept those games (I do have one team with an equal number of games vs DE and WE, but that's an all-rotter team). And that's because they're scared of their AV7 players getting Tackle/MBed.
This means that when I'm on gf, I'm more likely to offer WE a game, though I'll accept an offer from either. I do that because variety is good, and I get to play a team I've played less often. Also because I lose more vs WE, so I figure I need the practice. |

Well I love playing Chaos with my Woodies, they are my no. 1 pick. So easy to beat in the <1600k range. Ah well, Garion said it.  |
