Hi all, that is the first time i post.
First of all sorry for my "really stupid" english, but here in italy we like only eat pizza, play soccer and listen Berlusconi say (and make) stupid things.

Ok the problems is when today after i ask for a match, other coach answer: never with u because i heard bad things about u (me).

Now i want ask to community of fumbbl what's his opinion about me and i want that someone that watch my team can tell me where they're bad.

If there's someone here that thinck that i'm a bad coach, pls explaine when and why i was so. Don't worry i'm only undestan how to change the opinion about me because i want only play with all clean and hard.

Tnx to all for the answer that will come.

Your nice, sweet Arlecchino. Wink

Smile

Well.. only thing I can think of is that I seem to recall reading on someone's DNP-list, or possibly hearing in the channel, that you foul a lot. Since there are so many DNP-lists out there, I might be wrong though. Either way, that's not enough for me to consider you a bad coach, but since I care about my players a lot I'd probably think twice and look at your rosters before playing you.

Let's try to be a little more specific: do you foul in the eighth turn 2nd half? Do you make unnecessary pushes to the crowd just before scoring a TD in a one-way match just to injure the opponent? Do you challenge teams with a far lower Team Rank or Strenght? Everything like that would upset your opponents and if the voice spreads you will find less people enjoying a match against you.

Keep it up. Actually, your top team is more powerful than mine. Very Happy

My past two matches against ~Guardians of Destiny~ were a lot of fun and (as always) I wrote just that in the match reports. The first one is a little less than glowing because I think I might have been in a bad mood when I wrote it.

I think whomever was making excuses was doing just that. Mind you, they're allowed to make excuses and dodge whomever they like. Maybe they just didn't want to play dwarves (or whatever team). It happens. No need to take it personally.

lol - I heard the same thing about you to but have no idea where.

Well, let me tread lightly with an explanation and pray this doesn't evolve into another never ending fouling thread. Also, let me preface this with "this is my opinion", and is only shared by others with the same opionion Smile

Is Arlecchino a <b>Bad</b> Coach?
<B>"Bad"</b> generallyu refers to a coach who stinks at bloodbowl. Your 168 coach ranking attests that you are not a "bad" coach. But I understand what you are getting at.

Is Arlecchino an a**hole?
FUMBBL a**holes typically take 6 minute turns in an effort to bore their opponent, they disconnect when things are going bad, or they are verbally abusive/mean during the game. As long as you don't do these things you will <most likely> not be considered an a**hole.

Does Arlecchino play a style of Bloodbowl I dislike?
This is probably the source of your opponent's statement.
In general I have found 3 types of BB players.

#1 Kill/Kill/Maim/Score? nah - These types of players love the killing aspect of the game. The more the merrier, whether it be the opponent's players or there own. "It's called <b>blood</b>bowl you know" is their favorite quote. A T8 without fouling is like a pizza without cheese.

#2 Kill/Kill/Score/Win - These types of players strive to win through elimination of their opponent. One or more DPs will always be on their teams. Once, the win is secured, many times they will take the opportunity to hurt you more.

#3 Score/Win/Kill/Oops - These types of players play to win and killing/injuring are incidental. An RIP is usually followed up by a "sorry" or "oops".

The funny thing is although none of these styles is "wrong", the three groups do not like to play each other. Most nasty post match comments arise when 2 opponents from different groups "accidentally" find each other for a game. The other thing is I "think" the majority of FUMBBL players fall into group #3

Now.......... Based on your 2.9 cas/game rate, you either (a) fall into group 1 or 2 or (b) coach almost all bashy teams who can't help but get 3-4 cas/game.

So your options are either (1) create some fluffy teams which will lower your overall cas rate or (2) just realize there is gonna be a group of FUMBBL players that will avoid you right or wrong.

Mully (hope this didn't unintentionally flame anyone)

Well, I've played you before and although you were one dice lucky summamabish, I don't recall you being a bad coach in any way.

You're not on my DNP list, and I put people there for failing to follow the rules of grammar and punctuation during in-game chat! Shocked

Correct, as you wrote yourself, my insanely bad dice games add to the fun for my opponent. One guy told me to stop because, he was laughing so hard he couldn't concentrate anymore.

I've voted yes.

Why? Although you're not a "bad" coach, as you put it (at least not with regard to coach-ranking) I can recall the game against your humans as one of the most unpleasant games of the last 100 I've played (all other unpleasant games were against retardedly slow players). Not that I would mind much (I knew what I was up to, didn't care much for the team I played and don't take the game too seriously (hopefully) and the only players which really annoy me anyhow are those who play painstakingly slow for no reason), but looking at this, I'm tempted to draw the following conclusions:

You play a most bashy human side which seems to play against low AV-sides exclusively. Furthermore it would appear that you capitalize on the flaws of the dysfunctional strength-formula.

Your humans have specialised on hammering soft sides into oblivion whereas they themselves are very sensitive and don't play against any str-sides themselves. Here we possibly can observe one of the most elaborated cherry-picking/dodging strategies on fumbbl.

That said, it's entirely up to you how you build your team, whom you play against and how you play, you are certainly a good coach with regard to ranking, no doubt, and it's definitely not up to me to judge you.

Nevertheless, personally I find your powergamer-approach somewhat pathetic to be honest.

You might want to fix that link. It should be http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&showmatches=1&team_id=57727.

Who knew that M$ had bought the domain name "http.com"?

Tnx Mully now i undestand that i'm not a asshole player, but i also undestand that my way of play bloodbowl don't be nice for some other coach like Mirascael.
Now i want to explaine why my human are what they are.
I had 2 bash team as all call them, orc and dwarf, so i start a new human team for play a agile team, that always refuse to play with my 2 bash team.

After some games i undestand that catcher are weak (av7 and str2!)so i thick to use a non catcher human team, with only lineman and blitzer. That's my choise and it pay well. I play with many agile team because i play a lot of bash team with my orc and dwarf and i start also a dark elf team for playing moore agile and fast team.

what's wrong in that? Human always play with other agile team because they're too low armored and str for plaing other full guard-mighty blow team. Also they have less ag than agile team so i think that my human team is a very good one because they play and win vs most of the agile team around.

I'm not a bash coach, i also have a wood elf and a dark elf team, that how u can see play an agile style of play.

I only want to tell that my primary target is win and if i need to hurt someone to reach that target i'll do it. So don't tell me how to play my human, because i can't make 2+ long bomb, 2+ catch and oneturnscore, so i must cover the ball, slow the game, open a way in your defence and then score the td. Sorry if in the process to make it i'll hurt some of your players.

I want add one things: my human team have 1 dirty player and i take this skill as third skill for my lineman. My dwarf don't have one and so my woody and dark elfs. Finally my orc have one dirty player. I'm so bash like coach? I don't think so.

P.s.: Sorry again for my english i hope that all is undestandable.
P.s.2: Now i see the rep of our game mirascael. U don't rember that in the first turn u foul my blitzer killing him? So don't speack to me about bashing.

Unrelated, but it is not true that Humans won't stand a chance against "strength teams". Bloodbowl is somewhat balanced in as much as you can win against any type of team with any other type of team (it does require luck with stunties though). Of course you might suffer losses, and some teams are so much bent towards destroying teams that it probably is not wise to play them with av7 - your humans among them Smile.

Yes Human catchers only have st2 and av7 - the high movement still makes them good players. Now imagine a whole team with av7 guys and you will probably understand why playing against a team loaded with tackle and Mblow is not the most enjoyable experience. [At least not all the time].
