yup Roland is correct. You can fit a thrower in to the pro elf starting 11 - 2 blitzers, 1 thrower, 2 catchers, 3 rr.
if the thrower, now kicker, had 2 skills he would cost 10k too much to start in the team unless you dropped a catcher or blitzer, which aint gonna happen |

Some throwers have more than pass. Human and orc have pass and sure hands, amazon has pass and dodge, norse pass and block, high elf has pass and safe throw.
Passers don't have to start with just one skill.
As for the cost, it would make you think about what to take thats for sure. But the starting roster would already be altered if a new positional was added, such as a kicker, or a blocker, so changing the thrower wouldn't make an impact on the starting roster that would not already be happening with new positionals being available. |

hmm I would hate any other changes tbh, the only one I could stomach is the thrower changing to kicker, or a kicker added for the same price as a thrower, anything else I would really hate. Blitzers are awesome as they are as are the catchers, I would rather see Dark or High Elf changed tbh. |

I like swapping pass for kick and calling him a kicker.
The fluff could be that all the good PE throwers were quite happy playing for HE.
I always thought it was dumb that HE got better throwers than PE. |

Yeah me too, pro elf throwers were meant to be the daddy.
Kickers certainly work for me after all Dolfar is a pro elf kicker. I also like the idea that the kickers are so proficient at it they pass using kicks too.

Too powerful. He's gotta have a hinky cost, so either you earn your Kick (only with money instead of SPP) or you take a 3-Catcher build (2 RR like most elves) or something.
Plus if there was an elf roster that started with HMP, there would actually, you know, be a point behind Diving Catch as like a Super-Star skill or something. |

It fits in with some precedent for Football too. Having a QB that is also the Kicker or Punter is not uncommon in High School and below today and was not uncommon so many year ago in the NFL and College. Being able to Quick Kick and Punt with a player would be kinda cool. And could and an additional layer of strategy to the game when attrition inevitably saps away other strategies. |

Kick and Hail Mary Pass are both situational enough skills that I doubt any reasonable person would say you need to add the extra 10k to keep the player from being under-priced.
By removing Pass as 1 of the 2 skills... 70k is fair in my opinion. |

This is actually a fantastic idea! Would save me a skill choice AND actually make them useful. As it stands right now, the Catchers are my go to Throwers. |

ditto I usually start with one because they fit in to the cost but as soon as they are injured they are retired and never bought again. |
