To be fair having tacklezones not count for any negative modifiers could be nice for wanna be elf ballers. So basically every player would have NoS and the Stunty dodging bonus.

Well... maybe if you count TTM as passing, passing in stunty leeg might be common? But to be serious I didn't even know that stunties have -1 to passing... And I just checked the rosters but it seems most AG4 players don't have hands so they can't pass either... So forget my stunty remark. Just wanted to keep this cool thread alive now that Markor seemed to have given up Smile

Eshin assassin and pro fling catcher both have ag4 and hands. These are the exceptions though. For the majority of teams its kill all menz first, ball second.

Well one way to promote passing is this way.

After the ball is kicked off, the DEFENSE gets to move first. They can put a lot of pressure on the ball right off the bat. So the rule change is simple. Defense acts first after Kick off and blitz is now in reverse were the offense gets to act first.

Passing does relieve ball pressure and allows the offense to move the ball faster and farther distances.

OR you use JF's idea of 3 SPP for a passing TD to the thrower.

You can change the SPP chart to promote or demote certain actions. You have a league that CAS only reward 1 SPP and Passing for a TD gives 3 and Catching the TD gets 3.

OR Blocking/Blitz CAS reward 0 SPP but foulling for a CAS gets you 2SPP as another example.

Wow. Defense move first would be a cool experiment. I guess a 10-0 score should get within reach with GRs going OTS over and over again on well placed kicks...

Defense going 1st is quite possibly the dumbest thing that has ever been written anywhere.

That is why some coaches wish to get rid of the game breaking Blitz kick off result.

Thanks for the insight.

Surprised Laughing Very Happy

If the offense knows they will get a blitz result on every kick off they can at least make adjustments on their set up to confront it.

How to promote more passing?
Play a ball-stealing race/team (any elf, skaven slann etc).
Then you have to pass the ball eventually, if it pops loose.

Passing with low AG teams can also be fun, but it should only be attempted if you're out of options. Liek dis:

Oh, one last thought, I did not say the defense sets up last and acts first. Currently it is offense sets up last and acts first.

Defense sets up first, offense sets up, Kick Off and then the defense gets to act first.

I like the vision of OTS gutters getting ground into the pitch and sent to the RIP bin.
