I like the idea of underworld rats having no fur. Cyanide went that way with their UW throwers and I thought it looked pretty cool.

here a few naked rats featuring the claw of lewdrum slap

also some beasties where i also drew a claw myself. one can notice at the lack of detail. i felt like claw is probably the most common mutation.

also i notice that there are often unclean white spots on my gifs. hmmm

For mutations to be visible on the icons?

I think if it was it would be effin' epic. Like 3 steps ahead of Cyanide again...

Cyanide BB1 and BB:LE displayed mutations on players.

everyone in box needs claw, right?

based on this collection of fumbbl claws Image

i now found a way to work cleaner in ps (yet i still see some ugly white spots), so i should go through my first modifications and clean them up next. then slowly claw for everyone.

They look really sweet. Love it!

My only points for improvement:
- The Ogre front view one looks a little detached from his wrist. Maybe could do with rotating so it doesn't stick out and moving up and left (for the red one) a few pixels.
- The mohawk marauder could use his side-views moving forward a bit more in line with where their arm should be, or having an arm added like the pony tail guy.

The others look pretty faultless. Fantastic job.

These are awesome! It would be fantastic if they and other custom icons could be implemented

Reading how Chaos Spawns work in the ...., it looks like it would need to be done manually but some people keep mentioning that the Client could use different icons. Question is, do I want that my opponent sees that my one Goblin has two heads. The players look funny but also become a visible target.

In tabletop, most specialist games from Games Workshop included the rule that the miniature "should" represent as accurately as possible its stats. Specially regarding weapons (like in Mordheim) but also in mutatons (again, like in Mordheim) as it had impact on competitive game. I don't see why this should be the exception.

[Edit] That said, man, these look AWESOME. I'd totally love to use at least one or two of them in my chaos pact league team.

it always amazes me how well the icons look even in double or quadruple size. The icons we already have as well as the icons mekutata has made.

But maybe it is just the recent trend for retrogames / retrografik that made this pixels-visible-8bit look common again.

It would be really cool if we could get an update to the client to work with large icons. ( in a sense that just the play area and icons get doubled, maybe..)

I agree about the Ogre. I think it has to do though mostly with the original Gif though. That Pact Ogre has no Arm.
I tried an improved mohawk guy. Dunno about the Ogre yet, I bet with tentacles coming out of there instead of the iron fist... could look alright.

Also a new Claw. And some other Mutations. This time for a furless Underworld Thrower.

Image

For his Foul Appearance I used a mouth of a Chaos Spawn. For the tentacles I tried to draw myself and used the icon for Withergrasp Doubledrool as inspiration.
I saw many rats with open wounded tails in real life. So I thought that might fit to an Underworld guy and let a bit bone come through.
I am not yet happy with any big hand variation, this one would at least work in sense of being clearly visible... and force a more complex solution when combined with claw.

As the thrower's skin is hard to see on the backgroundcolor of this forum, here a version on pink https://fumbbl.com/i/458176

There is a difference in Fumbbl though. Seeing the opponent's skills is just a mousemove away, you can even shift-click on any player and mark them with their skills (or mark them for a revenge kill Smile ). All the informations are handily and in second visible. So I guess there is a bit less need than in tapletop.
And to make it fair there would also be a need to make Skilllevels in general visible. I guess that would become too much work unless you rely on small symbols etc.
But yeah, if mutations will be included in fumbbl I am personally all for it. Let the Underworld Goblins celebrate their short lives like a peacock.

Love the look of the furless underworld. The boney tail and grey lower half look ace too. I'd love them in my UW team.

Some awesome responses. Highlights why I don't upload icons here anymore.

Why is that? Does all the praise and positive comments upset you somehow? Very Happy

I have absolutely no idea. If anybody knows how to stop a drunk mouse posting, I'm open to ideas.

Apologies for that comment.

Critical view, I think you could do with a little bit more contrast in areas.

The purple mino claw, be a bit more extravagant. A darker border colour will give you more palette options.

The same with the furless skaven.

Darker outline, slightly darker main colour will then give you more scope for highlighting and you're still have the shading options.

Oh and that goblin needs shooting. Would you like to try and design a Pact goblin based off of the goblins we already have? Maybe use the forest goblin as a base?
