Can you TTM and use Hail Mary Pass? Looking at the Doom Diver Catapult and was just wondering.

Nope. Under Hail Mary Pass:

No, it doesn't work, probably for the best.

Though it would be interesting if it worked and there was also a penalty on landing compared to the regular ttm. 6+ to succeed, 5+ with sure feet? As a HMP TTM should feel like the ultimate last ditch effort.

Last ditch? Sounds like a great offensive plan to me! Very Happy

Remember there's a weight issue. The fluff doesn't cover that anymore, but it used to. This is why you can't Long Pass or Bomb a TTM. So being able to HMP, is just totally no.

It used to be that titchy style players could be thrown further (I think). Which wouldn't be a bad thing to add now.

In 2ed you could throw Snotlings out to Long Bomb range.

Didn't snotlings count as 1/2 a player then too? So you could field twice as many? Or was that even earlier?

Mummies counted as 3 players whilst the other big guys were counted as 2.

Undead required Magic Points to maintain but all income could be used for the dirty tricks a team could employ whilst the living teams had wages to pay before employing spies to counter the dirty tricks used against you... ahh the memories of possibility as I had no-one to play with back then Sad

It was then, however only for mixed race. For Snotling teams you were expected to play with 16, but a lot of people waved that.

The premise (and still is the premise) that better players should try to handicap themselves with stunty teams to bring them to a similar level as the rest of the group. If you were that good that you needed to play Snotlings, then I'm prettier sure they've found Zen and long since left the planet.

They did have AG3 though, which meant tackling was possible.

As far as I remember not many used the really complex rules, made the out of game sequence a real chore. I also don't think Mummies were really worth 3 players and with their 'rotting' skill, made playing them a real team killer.

I fully support revising Titchy to allow Long Pass TTMs (would really help Ogre teams!)

Well, you could always argue that a hmp ttm would be the player using all his strength to throw the player, as opposed to the normal ttm, where the throw is more controlled, and thus doesn't go as far. Perhaps that should have repurcussions. Increase in the deviation? Armor always broken on failing the landing? (For both the flying player as well as any unfortunate bystander during the landing, of course Twisted Evil )

Anyway, it's a moot point, as skill changes aren't going to happen anytime soon (in stunty).
