So in a match, my ball and chain guy moved onto the ball... since he has no-hands he causes it to scatter from his square, the scattering doesn't ever land on any of my guys, and I never have a chance to pick up the ball. But this causes me to turnover the ball to my opponent.

Why?

TIA

@pythrr I'm currently IG I'll add the link once game is complete. It's a league game and we're at the end of our round, so I don't want to stall it any longer then It should be

It's a turnover because picking up the ball is mandatory, failing to pick the ball up is a turnover, and no-hands means that you automatically fail any pick up attempts.

Thanks for the info @Kryten. it makes sense, I don't like it, but I understand.

When this happened to me I was also convinced it must be a bug... now I'm convinced it's a bad rule instead.

People used to exploit the B&C to repeatedly scatter the ball until someone caught it, or at least get it out of a tight spot. There is a bug where pushing one of your own prone players onto the ball with the B&C is a turnover (sometimes, may depend where it scatters).

Never need to move them onto the ball once you know.

I would love to see a match with 10 fanatics and 1 normal goblin per side, where the goblin is only allowed to pickup the ball if it has already been scattered into the end zone Razz

Wouldn't work with the current pickup fail rule though Sad

It is a bad rule. One I fixed in my cathartic rule rewrite. It is a particularily shitty rule for Stunty.

@WingedHuman: If you are a ball and chain fan - play snots in stunty, get 2 ball and chain players who can pick up the ball, and don't automatically get sent off at the edn of the drive.
