Hi there
Yesterday i tried a hanfoff after escaping from tentacles & missed to escape. I had a second option for the handoff, a player next to my ball carrier but...
Could not give that #»(p ball.
So, the question is :
- Tentacles cancel my move, normal
Why couldn't i give that ball ?
Does it cancel everything for my player ?
Can i do it if i play on a board or neither ?
Same question for a pass :/
I'm skeptical...
Please, dear noble warriors of the post apocayptic roleplaying frustrating game, TELL ME !

Its easy, failing a tentacles roll ends that players move immediately, so you cannot do anything after you get stuck.

From the Rulebook

"The player may attempt to use this skill when an opposing player attempts to dodge or leap out of any of his tackle zones. The opposing player rolls 2D6 adding their own player’s ST and subtracting the Tentacles player's ST from the score. If the final result is 5 or less, then the moving player is held firm, and his action ends immediately. If a player attempts to leave the tackle zone of several players that have the Tentacles ability, then only one of the opposing players may attempt to grab him with the tentacles. "

hmm Follow up question

If he had just tried to Handoff to his player and not Dodge away then Handoff... would Tentacles have even been activated?

As I have understood it in the past Tentacles only activates when someone tries to Dodge away from the Tenacles Player.

Turn is only ended if a escape roll is failed. You can handoff to an adjacent player just fine.

Of course if you are playing against nurgle some disturbing presences might still affect your catch roll.

It's if the player tries to dodge or leap away from the tentacles player. Versus tentacle beasts Nerves of Steel passers might come in handy Smile

tentacles are useless even against St2 if your opponent has good dices...

yeah, it's why a close cage vs tent monsters is useful

NoS would help, as it ignores TZs, but it doesn't ignore Dist Pres.

Yeah, somewhat situational and realistically only going to be attempted with 1 or maybe 2 disturbing presences nearby.
