Well, I guess the "spirit" is to get through it with a lasting team. It's not about "only" have the patience and tolerance towards frustration, but also about being lucky. One might very well need more than one attempt to achieve it (although 25 games is obviously a lot).
Personally I find the use of a single journeyman (or several every now and then, in case of multiple MNGs) still within this spirit. But it's up to Hero to decide.
While we're at it: Is the use of star players or mercenaries against the spirit of the rule, Hero? |

I am continuing it. I am going to steal the Dwarf badge Mustn't Grumble. I need to go 50 games without retiring any players. I have about 20 left. At least now I can buy replacements for the dead. I have a kicker with 3 niggles. |

Yes, indeed. The best way on fumbbl to update things that are out of date is to update them yourself.
Maybe a thread with the obvious problem badges for discussion (like, the number of intercepts, smacks have changed, blackbox exists, PO is gone), with any obvious fixes you see, and then maybe do a further update on the LRB6 update article for the Grotty Little Newsletter to give it that shine of officialdom when they do their next.
Maybe even link to the Black Box Belts and ARR badges and whatever else gives out badges around here.

With the new journeyman rules, I used them. It may not be the original intention of the badge, but times have changed. Journeymen were not available at that time for free. I have claimed the badge and posted it on my team page. |
