Hi, unfortunately I didn't read the team creation rules properly and named some of my players not-distinctively enough. Due to that, I have some disapproved teams now. What can I do about it now?
I got no PM from mods and I can't find any way to change names of players... |

Click the player so you get to the bio page. There should be a rename player box there. |

Thanks, I tried that, but the only possibilities there are ")Change Portrait) (Edit Profile)", none of which allows me to change the names... |

Yes, a staff member renamed all your players.
The normal process is this:
1. Someone makes a team with non-compliant names
2. Someone else notices, and clicks the button to report the team (could be staff, but usually another coach)
3. A staff member sees there are teams that have been reported (there's a staff specific view for things like this)
4. If all (or most) players need to be renamed, the staff member clicks a button to auto-generate new names. If it's a single player, it's manually renamed to something suitable.
5. The team is then unlocked.
If the coach wants to have proper names for the players, they can approach staff who can help renaming players individually to fit a theme or whatnot. |

Thank you Christer for explaining that. I was unable to find something like this anywhere in the Help section, so I was quite confused what to do. Thanks for solving that for me and thanks for clarifying the procedure. |

Side note, I thought the report button had disappeared for a while from team pages. Now I notice the button moved from the bottom of the page |

Is there a way to have names auto generated when you create the team?
I ask because I understand that not everyone has a theme or will hug and kiss their pixels every night before bed. |

There's a number of name generators out there on the web.
Also, someone did code a cute firefox (I believe) addon that does exactly what you ask for. Maybe you can find it if you search to fora. |

The way I do it when creating a new team is to use my own little site to play with the team creation (a bonus is it includes pre-made variations suggested on Strategy pages; a con is it's outdated now), then copy names to FUMBBL. The module for player names comes from the aforementioned plugin of a kind stranger. |
