Rocky Horror Bloodbowl Team 3 - 2 Hamburger Helper (OT)
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=561137

Apparently Shaqpooh's Giants made mincemeat of Hamburger Helper in their last match and we got the leftovers. Fortunately Frank and the boys aren't above accepting sloppy seconds. They even relish it.... Equally apparent is that Magenta, finding herself listed on several of the leader boards, is getting a big head. She demanded 10,000 gold crowns to take the field against Mully's boys. Fortunately we had 120,000 banked, saving for another team re-roll.

The deadites received and pulled off another of their elfy passing plays, flooding the endzone in turn one and then freeing up a receiver with a well placed block so former President Nixon can deliver the ball to Magenta who ran in the score. The kick-off for the next drive was deep but the Human passer managed to get hold of it and advance the ball to mid-field where some blocking (including breaking Brad Majors' -- GEEK! -- glass jaw), combined with my wasting the blitz I'd intended for the ball carrier when I forgot Magenta has the Jump Up trait for the nth time, saw the Humans score their own two turn TD. As the weather turned swelteringly hot (who schedules all these day games?!? They're no good for Janet's complexion!) the deadites prepared to answer with another quick passing play but were thrown a cross when Tricky Dick failed to deliver an accurate pass and Magenta consequently failed to catch it. HH catcher Catsup managed to grab the ball but tripped going for it. With the help of groupie Benny Backache, Magenta blocked one Human player off the ball and Riff Raff snatched it out of the tackle zone of another and dodged away. HH blitzer Tuna Helper tried to take our faithful handyman down but only managed a pushback. Magenta showed Tuna Helper how to take a jump to the left, clearing the way for Riff Raff to run in the TD.

Once again usurping our "Victory through Attrition" strategy, in the second half the Humans began sending cast members off the field. Benny Backache, Ralph Haspschatt and Riff Raff were all KO'd, Riff by a foul, while The Criminologist II was badly hurt. Lacking options, Columbia attempted to use her superior agility to dodge inside the Human cage but failed, opening the way to endzone where the Humans began to stall. Former President Nixon managed to take the ball carrier down but Tricky Dick was mostly alone and surrounded by several opposing players and couldn't keep it for long. Magenta tried to take the ball carrier down but re-rolled a pushback (which she probably should've taken to send the player into the endzone and end the stall) for a skull/pow which both players were skilled to weather. Nixon, Magenta and Columbia went crowd surfing (all escaping without injury, though Columbia was KO'd). The stall continued until the Humans turn 8 when they finally waltzed in the tying TD.

Hamburger Helper was selected to receive in overtime and with eight deadites left to face ten Humans, things were looking good for the Humans. The Humans established a solid beachhead in our side of the field but, presumably expecting to be quickly rid of the ball didn't strongly defend their backfield allowing Magenta and former President Nixon to take out the lineman between them and the thrower with the ball and then, when a lino went down failing a re-rolled GFI, the thrower himself. We actually almost flubbed this gift-wrapped opportunity as I didn't stand my other players up before going for the ball and, when Magenta failed to pick the ball up after taking down the thrower, far more opposing players were free to move than should have been. Fortunately for us, after his teammates knocked Magenta down, the thrower tripped trying to dodge away from Tricky Dick and the former chief executive grabbed the ball (just like he always imagined) and ran in the winning TD.

After twelve games the unconventional conventioneers are celebrating their first fan factor increase. Who knew that the missing ingredient was Mully being raped by the dice? A pity we can't make it a regular feature, maybe part of the half-time show....

Hamburger Helper 2 vs 3 Rocky Horror Bloodbowl Team OT

Having beaten these mutts in a close game before, the Burger Boys knew that after the rapage from Shaqpooh in their previous game, that this would be an uphill battle.

As usual the wolve/elves were able to score easily in 2 turns with the humans getting the equalizer in 3. Poor poor defense kept the humans from capitalizing on an errant pass and the RHBBT was able to take the 2-1 halftime lead.

Now 100% convinced that these wolves cant be stopped, we finally resorted to fouling and knocked one into the KO box. By T5 we were out of rerolls and with 1 wolf gone, out of options. We chose to try and stall away the half and let Grue eat up his rerolls.

This worked to perfection as we got 2 more crowd pushes and left him with 0 rerolls for OT. Things were looking sprite when nuffle granted us the ball and a RR on the OT kickoff. Even better, an ejection from fouling plus bad KO rolls meant a 10-8 numbers advantage in OT. (This was merely foreplay and a chance for Nuffle FUMBBL Server (NFS) to stick one up my pooper however.)

With a RR in hand, I chose to have my AG4 lineman make a GFI roll to an empty square well protected in Grue's backfield. A short pass to him from my AG4 thrower would them allow a deciding TD in 2 turns.

The result? Predictable.

1 reroll 1 - game over

Warriors Of Woe 4 VS Slaves Of Chaos 0

With both teams sporting loosing records in MLB, it was a match either coach thought they could win.

From the opening kickoff the Warriors managed to dominate the match by dodging their way through most obstacles when it really counted. All looked well as the Warriors built up a 4-0 lead with no permanent injuries.

This streak of good fortune was bound to break eventually, and it did when Malendil the wardancer aged after the match. Of course, this was the only skill acquired during the match and he leads the team in spps. Damn you Nuffle! Can’t an elf get past his third skill without aging?

Riverbottom Nightmare Band 2 - 0 Druin Dumpster Dwellers

After a long and unsuccesful overseas tour the Band came home to find things much more to their liking. They opened the concert with their big hit and it Killed! Wink Lucky for the fan there was a docter in the house. After that the kids settled into their regular set list. A few charging numbers mixed in with some back stepping ballads and a couple of covers mixed in for fun. Security was tight and they never allowed the rats backstage. All up an excellent welcome home.

The biggest fu@#ng farce i have ever seen. When you're playing a team that has a 38 tr advantage over you, you know it's gonna be tough but to roll 10 dbl skulls you've gotta be taking the piss. On top of all this, even though you out-mb your opponent by 1 he injures 5 players even trying and successfully injuring on what i call Bullyblocks (as in Bullshit, single dice shots, again with no hint of an mb). Oh by the way, my top 2nd b orc niggled for this one. If anything like this luck is maintained Barash has this league in the bag, unplayable.
Mully i'm gutted to have to agree with your somewhat dubious powers of precognition but you may be right. This team is fu@#ing CURSED Evil or Very Mad Embarassed Sad Confused Rolling Eyes Neutral Laughing Cool. Ahh feel a bit better

Sinister Urge 3 vs 2 New York Giants OT again

A classic game between Shaq and Mully (othwewise known as Shaq's bitch). The Giants received and, with the help of terrible defence, opened the scoring with a Sims to Toomer TD pass. The only thing we accomplished was a FOUL KO on Tiki Barber which seemed to scare him out for most of the game.

Next possession and in T3 Nuffle inerterjects and Ghoul Invisible touch rolls 1-1 on a GFI and drops the ball. Two turns later and that ugly mutt jeremy Shockey is running it in for a 2-0 lead.

Next kick off and a rock nails my flesh golem in the head. Can it get any worse? Ya - Ghoulish Desire runs back to pick up the ball , 1 reroll 1. T6 I move another ghoul back to help out. Ghoulish Desire rolls for pickup ...1. Giants blizter Joe Morris dodges to blitz and put the game away ....1 rr 1. (wonderfull server). T7 invisible touch FINALLY picks up the ball and 2 wolves try and get into scoring position. T8 we get lucky, and after a nifty chain push, free up the ghoul to hand off to the wolf in a TZ. Catch roll = 6. The wolf then dodges away from the shadowing catcher and in for the score 1-2.

Second half kisk off and we get real nasty. With the ball along the sidelines The Urge use the wolves to crowd push several Giants off the field. None are seriously hurt. Finally in T8 with only 5 Giants on the field we were able to score the equalizer. But by OT, all the Giants were back including Tiki Barber (finally) and they were set to receive.

With the wall of blockers all set up, Ike Hilliard dropped a short pass which would have meant the win. The Urge could not take advantage and Ike Hilliard caught a 2nd pass and, while about to hand off to Tiki barber for the win, trips and falls. After a scrum, Ghoulish Desire picked up the ball and away he went for the T6 win in OT.

Thanks to Shaq for putting up with my long turns in OT.
Glad to finally see someone ELSE typing f-ck f-ck f-ck for a change

Cartoonettes-Seahawk Clan 2-0

An easy win for the ladies who could stall first half for a last turn td, and knock out several elves along the way.

With only 7 players, Seahawk Clan tried a desperate quick td in the beginning of 2:nd half. The gfi failed though and the zons got the ball and could easily walk in the second td. Elves was never near and spent most of second half making pointless fouls. Very entertaining.

Week #8 Update

NA I

The Kadrin Kannons continue to roll through the division led by Ronald Roadrunner. Close on their heels is the Rocky Horror Bloodbowl Team who keep finding ways to pull games off. Werewolf Magenta leads the team with 6 CAS’ and 27 SPPs. War Dancer Malendil Spawnslayer is a bright spot for the struggling Warriors of Woe. His 29 SPPs is 5th in the league. The Slaves of Chaos are finding it hard to win, but Minotaur Bull The Stupid is finding it easy to hurt, with a league leading 9 CAS. Hamburger Helper is in last place and is merely dead meat.

NA II

The touchdown scoring centaurs lead Bullz on Parade. Stampy has 7 TDs and 28 SPPs for the team. They sit in good position for a 1st round playoff bye. Sinister Urge is currently holding 2nd with a couple of close wins. The battle for 3rd is a dead heat with Illusion, Canada’s rat cities, and New York Giants all within 1 point of each other. Illusion Witch Elf Mirage Arcana leads the league with 34 SPPs and 7 TDs.

Europe

It certainly doesn’t help that the best team in the division (Black Demons) also appears to be the luckiest. They are well balanced with Orlando being the only STAR on the team. Cartoonettes are in 2nd and are equally balanced. They have the league’s top thrower, Klarabella, with 11completions. The Northern Raiders continue to hang on to the final playoff spot with a slim 1-0 win in week #8. Sigurd Stormthrower is tied for the league lead with 11 completions, but do they have the consistency to make it to the playoffs? Right on their tail is the Blackrock Wardogs who have been equally inconsistent.

Aussie

It’s the battle of the big three, Scurvy Lads of Yore, Riverbottom Nightmare Band, and Tepoc’s Chosen. Whoever wins the head to head matches will win the division. The Scurvy mummies have 16 CAS between them and are the terror down under. To make things worse they also have the league’s top scorer, Bartholomew Roberts with 8 TDs and 31 SPPs. Despite their poor record, the Druin Dumpster Dwellers have some individual stars. Recycle, has 6 TDs and 28 SPPs, and Hobo has a team leading 6 CAS. We do it for love, apparently is looking for love in all the wrong places and Quod’s Warpies were co chaotic, they went MIA for the week.

Riverbottom Nightmare Band 1 - 0 Tepoc's Chosen

Desperate to revenge their first round loss against the Tepoc's lizardmen the Band came in humming their fight song. But the soundcheck seemed to be going horribly wrong as the Chosen took the first kick off (a touchback given to the Kroxigor) and proceeded to get nasty. 3BH and 2KOs in first 3 turns had the band reeling. But a nasty hit on the ball freed up the tiniest amount of space and a quick thinking goat scampered out to handoff to a Chaos Warrior who took advantage of the overcommitment of numbers to the wrong side and scored the TD! Second half saw the Band's security crew tighten up and dish out a bit of the rough stuff. A KO and then a very nasty 2 RIP's in a row on a saurus and a skink saw the lizards throw in the towel and call it a day. Emmit Otter is looking forward to making a new drum case from the skins Wink
Rockin' On!!!

Northern Raiders 1 - 2 Black Demons

This was a really spectacular game with the Northern Raiders taking insane risks to pull off some really incredible moves to stop the Black Demons rampage.

The norse started recieving but the attack was a disaster and the orcs could take advantage and get the 1-0 lead.

In the second half the Northern Raiders managed to seize the ball from the Demons and get the equalizing TD. The Demons had time for yet another attack and was really close to scoring but the poor catchingabilities of the orcs saved the day.

The OT saw the Demons attacking again and things looked grim for the outnumbered Raiders. They managed to get through and get a blitz on the ballcarrier through some amazing dice but failed to pick up the ball.
For the next blitzattempt Svein the Lucky was choosen for his ability to manage with risky moves but he got a little bit too cocky and fell to his death while dodging out from a zone.
The Demons managed to pull down the field and all Raiders were to far away to get hold of the ball.

Thanks a lot to Barash for yet another great game.

Hamburger Helper 4 vs 1 Kadrin Kannons

Having played against this dynamo once and watched them several times I learned a few things about their offensive tactics. The study paid off as faced with the choice of scoring or holding onto the cage, the dwarves chose the cage. And after a timely double skull, the meatlovers had a tasty crowd push and free ball. Some Nuffle aided luck (ie scattered ball going to the AG4 passer) helped in a T8 TD and 1-0 lead.

After trading a couple of 2 turn TDs, Nuffle helped again on the kickoff where a Blitz! was partially negated by a touchback. After a failed 2D block it, it was another score and a 3-1 lead. Another double skull by the dwarves helped for the final TD and 4-1 win.

Not a single important roll was missed by the humans this game, making BB seem so easy sometimes. The ref was gotten TWICE late in the game, but by then both teams were thinking about the following week.

The Black Demons managed win their 2nd consecutive OT game in a row: 2-1

The Northern Raiders played extreamly well and almost managed to beat the Black Demons for the first time this season

It certainly does help that the best team in the division (Black Demons) also appears to be the luckiest.... in this game the odds were in their favor, just in time.

It was great fun to play against SerXes and his Northern Raiders really made some amazing playes this game.

Sinister Urge 2 - 0 Slaves of Chaos

Going into the match the Urge were not about to underestimate the 1 win Slaves. Despite their horrific record, the roster was filled with scary beings. The Slaves received and the STR beast came lumbering up the field. After some missed blocks the Urge were able to take down the beast on a 1D block and pick up the ball. The lack of chaos tacklers helped the Ghouls hold onto the ball and score a late T8 TD for the lead.

2nd half saw the Chaos armor fall apart. Mostly on their own missed dodges and skulls. A T6 TD secured the win before some pointless fouling in T7 and T8 by both clubs.

Although the Urge emerged from the game unscathed, Ghoul Invisible Touch injured himself learning leap and now is cursed with a niggle.
