In other threads I think Kam has posted a solution using CompizConfig Setting Manager that allows you to resize the window so that the bottom line is visible, but didn't work for me. |

Hey Ohwatch,
I use Linux to play on FUMBBL as well - that problem with the bottom of the screen getting trimmed is apparently caused by a compatibility issue between OpenJDK and the GNOME Desktop Environment. I'm guessing with Mint 18, you are probably using Cinnamon, which is based on Gnome, so I wouldn't be surprised if you get the same issue.
One option is to install an alternative desktop environment and switch to that for playing FFB. I use LXDE on my laptop and it works fine with that. I don't know if that is available in Mint. If not, you could try XFCE and see if that works. |
