Just wondering.
Considering the TEAM (Human w/ MA 8 Thrower and 2 MA 9 Catchers)
and considering that this is the POST CLPOMB ERA (Sure there is still CLMB but...)...

Would the option of +MA or +AV be enticing enough to take over a NORMAL SKILL? (he rolled 4, 6... BOO!!!)

Thanks for weighing in BTW. I don't always agree with you but you are great at bouncing these ideas off of to test them out in Blood Bowl Theory.

WHAT WHAT WHAT?!?!

I used a PIE OPTION in the poll and it isn't there!?!?!?

It said... "Pie... most pumpkin pie filling is actually squash" ...which is TRUE.

Surely I just messed up, right? Tell me an admin didn't do that.
And if they did WHY? Is squash so gross tasting as to be offensive? /hehe

Block is what he really needs when he can get it. Guard should come along soon enough, and this extra move will help him travel with cages rather than being the one slow player. Maybe he will get +ag next too to be an optional carrier!

My reasoning is: without PO you have one skill slot free, so you can use it to take +MA (unless a double 5 is rolled, then Block is obviously the best choice).
With old ruleset I would have suggested Guard so at 31 SPPs the Ogre would have had Guard, Piling On, Stand Firm, but with new ruleset and no regular G access taking +MA is not a bad idea; after taking Guard, Stand Firm, Break Tackle generally it's better to cycle the Ogre, while a MA 6 Guard, Stand Firm Ogre is "special" and worth to be kept.
Moreover, +MA is nice to catch up with the rest of the team when Bonehead stops the Ogre and to recover from knock downs.

Kind of surprised by the early results on the poll and the feedback.
Really though Guard would be killing it.

I'm not really sure where I stand with my own question.

But I was leaning a bit towards +AV because it would take an unmodified AV roll of 11 or 12 to break his AV and thereby Stun, KO, CAS or RIP him. And because him being on the Pitch can be vital to winning or surviving a scrum... I though keeping him out there would be good.
Of course... players with Mighty Blow and or CLAW change the maths and the risk involved. But... it's a ranked team I could always take the cowards way out (jk I mainly play tournaments with this team).
Then again... I tend to hope the Ogre gets FOULED because he can best take the hit. I wonder if moving up to AV10 might discourage that from occurring.

I assumed Guard would lead the way because of how useful that skill is. BUT then again... I can nominate him for MVP every game and potentially get Guard in 2 games.

But I like the take on +MA I am seeing. That makes some sense too. I'll hold off for a bit. Let tis scroll through the rest of the world at least 1 time before I pick the skill.

was about to say +AV, but when I saw it was doubles, definitely block.

Without block, he'll spend most of his time on the ground and you'll be afraid to use him as he's a turnover machine.

sigh...read the poll which says double 5s, but the text says 4,6.

Please change my answer to +AV. He's going to be a punching bag, let him do it well.
