I want to take a look at the Blocking dice vs. skills today.

Stand Firm prevents the PUSHBACK. (Juggernaut cancels Stand firm)
Dodge prevents the POW/PUSH result (Tackle cancels the dodge skill)
Block/Wrestle prevents the BOTH DOWN result.
Pro / using a Re-roll has a chance to get rid of a SKULL result.
But if your opponent rolls a POW on his blocking dice, there seems to be no skill or no way to prevent the result of POW.

Is there anything (except preventing that your opponent can block you - closest I can think of is Foul Appearance) that can be done vs the almighty POW result ?

Be stronger and get to choose the dice so they have to roll more than one POW. More than double the blocker's strength is best, for 3 dice against.

There is always a chance to succeed(6) and there is always a chance to fail(1) when dice are rolled. I cant think of anytime you roll a dice in BB that differs from this.

So no, you cant nullify a POW result as its a pure hit (rolling a '6' if you like), dont give away 2d blocks is your best bet.

Your tools to do this are guard, and strength, but most ideally putting your potential target in a position they cant be hit either through distance or behind a meatshield.

You can beat POW by never playing. Then nobody can roll POW against you.

Like total nuclear Armageddon the only way to truly win fumbbl is not to play...

*scratches.head* I'd assumed 'POW' given the current conversation. I suppose that means 'POW' is cancelled by appropriate hormonal treatments and/or the use of a condom. (And yeah, I suppose dodging (pulling out) would be cancelled by a premature blitz. Can results in a CAS (Children And Support).)
