Man, what a draw. So many good matches and we've already had some good games played:

So far:

https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4000159 Slim Chance Brigade loses to Warpheadz on a slim chance OTTD turn 8 of the 2nd half.

2-1 Warpheadz

https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4000155 Ultimate Marvel Superheroes do Superhero things and smoke Chosen Krabs.

4-0 Ultimate Marvel Super Heroes

https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4000172 Bull head butchers get stopped at the goal line turn 7 of 2nd half and send the game into OT then get butchered by Death Guard Legion.

1-0 Death Guard Legion

https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4000178 Dominik and Kingvan do battle in a Nurgle vs. Orc match that goes to OT. Luckily Dom doesn't let it get to a coin flip and has free space turn 6 of OT to score easily.

2-1 Gefaehrliche Raubtiere

https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4000185 Amiga Games lose all their cheat codes when Varak Ghoul Chewer pays off in a mighty way to score turn 8 of the 2nd half for the go ahead TD. This was probably one of the best I saw so far because things got choppy as hell on a 1d6 ball pop Amiga instigated in the 2nd half and it was a scramble for both sides to fight for the ball for quite a few turns. Gilgorod's Tribe advances and are likely to give an arm, leg and tooth for Varak in future matches.

2-1 Gilgorod's Tribe

There are some very very tasty match ups some of the groups. Going to be great spectating!

I take it commentary will only be for the main event?

We could do some commentary for qualifier games just need people to make public when they are going to play.

https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4000286 Straight Outta Compton (Throweck) takes on Passing Chaos (Azure) which turns into a brutal punching fest. What looks like an impossible situation for Straight Outta Compton to dig out of turns on a dime turn 6 of the 2nd half when Passing Chaos has two double skulls in one turn, the last one being the ball carrier in his own half marked by a Hobgoblin. Hobgoblin easily scoops it up and scores.

https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4000309 Excellence of Execution (Battlelore) live up to their name with 4 RIPs delivered to Morkus Majers (ekiss). Morkus bit back though with 2 of their own RIPs on the Chaos beasties. It didn't hit the all time record for RIPs but it will likely be the most bloody match in the GLT. The game was so bloody they extended it to OT to satiate the wanton blood lust (I saw a few members of New Vamps on the Blood in the stands licking their chops and got a photo with them although they don't show up...)

2-1 Excellence of Execution

https://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=4000321 Jacksonorse Jaguars (GAZZATROT) were up 1150 TV against rookie Plague Plagirism (FinnDiesel) and it played out how you'd expect. Morg didn't want any part of his temporary Underworld partners and jumped into the Badly Hurt box Turn 1. There was some life in the Plagiarists though and they gave it a shot on defense but it still didn't pan out.

https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4000345 _Weplayall_ (fertfert) took it to Uusiverikulho (Stonetroll) in something of an upset. Uusiverikulho got _Weplayall_ to score turn 6 of the 1st half and responded in kind with their own score before the half but...
Second half was a slow developing one where Uusiverikulho kept shedding players and couldn't outrun or outblock the Necromantic nightmares. Turn 7 saw their ball carrier surrounded by wolves with little recourse besides perhaps a 4+ dodge with a bloater and then a possible 1d6 for scoring paydirt. Alas, Stonetroll directed a -2d6 blitz and coughed it up allowing an easy pickup by an adjacent AG4 wolf and then 2 GFIs to get into scoring range.

2-1 _Weplayall_

https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4000362 Intellects Never Die (Mattius) did the ole Deadite Mamba on Galaga (Gary_Gygax). Again, we see one team score before turn 8, in this case Galaga and a counter score by Intellects Never Die that evens it up before half.

Now quickly into 2nd half Galaga did something that I really did not like. The deadites were in a spot where Galaga could have isolated the ball carrier and his 2 mates screening from the rest of the team and then changed the focus of the deadites into overcoming that. Instead he played passively and searched for a golden shot with his ST5 Leap Wrestler. I get it, I really do, but letting the deadites come back together and cage and advance into his territory when it was a 1-1 tie really put the impetus on them to hit their golden shot if and when it arose.

Which it kinda did but to no avail since the scatter bounced right to Setekh. Despite being in two TZs with the elves he deftly used his break tackle and ST4 to escape and get into scoring range and then brought home the bacon to advance.

I'll say it again, in that situation I'd really have like to see the elves cut the head off from the body and increase the cognitive load of the undead to figure out what to do rather than give up a square at a time while also sacrificing elf after elf. Such is life though.

https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4000374 So a little renegade on renegade action. No, I'm not talking about my Lorenzo Lamas fanfics here. Makeshift Mercenary Group (antithesisoftime) played the sharp tooth predator while Impactful Chaos (Drekk) played the nimble prey. Another one that went the distance to OT where Impactful Chaos did the damn thing and scored on after getting the kick. Bog standard game as far as Pact mirrors go.

Squaring off in the Forlorn Races Qualifier, recent XFL Khemri XII winners, Dusty Fingers vs. Nehekhara Liche Priests... (undefeated against fellow Khemri teams).

Stop the presses, we have a stunty fandango on our hands here: https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4000201

Coming straight at you from the Stunty Qualifier we have Pocket Hulks vs. Cleaverland Browns.

A good ole fashioned Gobbo vs. Fling bash that has all the fixings.

Cleaverland induced a Chef and he did his job right off the bat draining the Gobbos of their precious rerolls. Then on turn one the Fanatic, Hulkamania snakes a GFI and winds up in the Badly Hurt Box. Raise your hand if that's never happened to you - exactly.

The gobbos dawdle on their side and Maplewind Willowwind gets rooted along the way giving the gobbos a shot to scramble to the fling side and threaten a score. In fact on turn 8 the flings assist the gobbo into the endzone with a blitz and we're at 1-0 Pocket Hulks.

The flings, infuriated with their assist in the gobbo's score get a little initiative and jump the kick with and equalize before the half ends with a little throwing team mate action and a blitz to bully their way to a TD.

2nd half starts and the flings are feeling confident. Perhaps a little too confident as they try a similar action to start the half but lo, the fling misses the landing.

The gobbos, sensing the most juicy delicious opportunity pounce on the ball and fling and then its a bloody march towards the endzone. Flings and gobbos alike fly off the pitch with wild abandon and in spite of a heroic dodge 1d6 to take down a ST3 gobbo the gobbos prevail in the end with final score being a simple fall across the goal line in true snarky gobbo fashion. But the gobbo was grabbing his crotch for style points.

https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4000397 11th Legion (MrNomad) had his work cut out for him, then cut into him, then resurrected as a rotter. Long Haul Trucking (amon242) didn't put up much of a fight for about 11 turns and then he informed the team they do in fact have claws and you can guess the rest. Long Haul Trucking wins in OT in pretty standard claw heavy fare against the orcs.

2-1 Long Haul Trucking.
