Recent Facebook entry from Nicolai(Tripleskull) made me think we should have a fantasy draft.

So here is how this will go down:

- There will be a live draw on September 19th at 22:00 on discord.
- You must be available for about an hour for the draw to participate.
- Each participant must choose 6 players from 6 different teams with 6 different races
- All players that have not yet been drafted are eligible, but you cannot pick yourself.
- Draft order will be random, then first to last, last to first then first to last and so on (with last one getting 2 picks)
- Score will just be the sum of individual points of each player in your fantasy team.
- you must be attending the world cup to participate

Once the draft is done I'll put them in a google spreadsheet and try to update scores at the end of each day (or everyone can track their own scores) in Dornbirn with wagers coming into effect:

Wager options: (you can sign up for wage levels 0 through 5)
0. I'm just in it for bragging rights (no wager)
1. I like beer (Loser pays leader a beer after end of each day)
2. I love beer (Loser pays leader beer for an evening)
3. Don't be last (Loser pays a shot to top 5)
4. Winner takes it all (everyone pays a beer/shot to the winner)
5. Really Stupid (Everyone gets to pick a stupid/funny thing the loser needs to do in advance and he then has to do whatever the winner picked) like run through the whole room in boxers Smile

So do you know who is the luckiest guy of them aallllll, do you have your secret undervalued players scouted out or just want to have another chance to win something?

Show up for some fun side action in dornbirn!

Sign up in this thread and show up in discord on September 19th here https://discord.gg/9bcwbka

In order to keep a bit of oversight, I will limit the action to 20 participants for now otherwise the draft will take forever. I will keep the right for some wild cards though.

May the luckiest guy get wasted!

Sign ups:
1. Strider84 (Alex)
2. Tripleskull (Nicolai)
3. Leipziger_Waterball (Alex)
4. salinas55 (I don't know you yet Smile)
5. Mattius (is Mattius your real name)
6. Spinball (Mike?)
7. Straume (Øyvind)
8. Lemf (too many games to have your real name revealed)
9. Jopotzuki
10. Bugrum (Janninu)
11. Palandt (Willi)
12. Arioso (Andreas)
13. Badpublicity (Jacob)
14. Skuld (Robin)

Interested:
Naama (Rasmus)
Purplegoo (Phil) i know you are.

After live draw:

Hmmmmmm Beeeer. Now that seems like an expensive night for someone.

Thinking it through how will the looser buy beer for the winner as the tournament will have ended??? but I do like the concept

Sounds like fun. I guess the best picks won’t be the best coaches on the best teams - like gambling on the individual ‘winner’, you really want very good coaches that have ended up on average or poor teams and as such get plum draws for 9 games. Who’s going to sift through 1450 people to find the best six ringers? Not me! Smile

If I had infinite time. Wink

And don’t fall into Nicolai’s hole of dodgy analysis! Pete’s team has four Eurobowl winners (one of which has won a World Cup) and another Team England coach. They will be pretty alright!

Agreed. I am not one of Purplegoo's Ringers!

I think four of my team have won the NAFC/Bloodbowl too!

Don't pick me in the draft - I won't win you any drinks!!!

Three and a finalist, I think? It's probably more illuminating to focus on the major and minor team success in the six, anyway. The NAFC is impressive-ish, major team events and a strong history in domestic outings (albeit as fours) are likely more of an indicator. And you / they have that!

Anyway. Who's doing this analysis?! Not me. Razz

Ah yes - Stick was a finalist to JockMcRowdy. Good recall!

What have I said about Petes team to merit this banter? Smile

The only thing I can come up with so far is that I have not put them in top 4?

Was merely a jovial, overall comment on the Tripleskulls house of analysis. You are, as ever, the Bantersaurus Rex. Razz
