progression - what does it do?

When you set up a tournament you get an option to set Progression to "Standard" or "None". what is the difference, and what effect do both of them have?

Progression means injuries, money, spp and ff-change. I think. Did I forget anything?

none progression means teams reset, no cas carry over etc.

and people should be aware that teams that have played either non-progression or progression game can never play game vs different progression teams, ever! *drums*
