Now I know what happen when elves meets a bashy (MB) team. One dead and 2 MNG in the first half, apoth failed to heal the dead guy. To rub it in one of the players that got a skill got +AG, but also niggled on first skill roll.

Phew, I was getting worried here. Had 13 players at the start of this game, and had to think about who to set up... Was a bit worried if the bashers couldn't kill elves anymore, the thinking about who to set up was killing me. Problem got solved though, as this game proved that bashers can kill and maim elves; one dead, one -AV and one niggled (and another apothed niggle). Retired the niggle and now are back to the nice 11 player team again

This game probably is a good example of what I think E.L.F. is about: Winning a game at the same time as your players get the crap beaten out of them . That being said, the Khemri team played fairly, no dirty tricks. They played with Ramtut, but openly before game started, and he did not cause more than one cas I think. By the way, one of the RIP's was apothed, and only one SI was -AV, the rest MNG.

Rotten luck when it counts. Failed a gfi with rr for a 2-0 lead in my last turn of the first half, and the crowd threw the ball straight to the opponent's thrower. Then failed a 2+ catch in the very last turn of the game.
The cas figures are misrepresentative, I was 6 on 11 at the end of the game because of KO's and a BH that hurt himself. Nothing serious, though, which is always a relief.

The turning point in this match was the half time whistle. My opponent scored his equalizer in the last turn of the first half, and the second half started with the fans getting the ref. After that I pretty much lost one player per turn and consider myself very lucky not to receive any permanent injuries - I didn't even use my apo.

Somewhere in the second half I used an apo on the SI I had, cause I figured he wouldnt do much worse, but the rest of the game, we basically took turns scoring. |

Well this was fun, fun, fun !
Played some of my most fun games on fumbbl for ELF. A lot of games where i expected to get mashed to pieces and suffer from turn 1 till the end, actually were very challenging and turned into unexpected wins.
Aaaah, the joy of stalling 5-6 turns against Chaos Dwarfs, Giving both Old World and Chaos Pact some heavy spanking, Scoring with only 1 dancer against amazons, Winning 7-0 from humans, completely maim some skaven, watch mummy's looking for something to hit all game, and so on...
So fun to see the bashers do a whole half of work to finaly get that TD, score against in 2 turns, and take advantage of just one mistake (or bad dice roll) to wrap up that game. The joy, the joy
Turned out woodies are quite capable of winning against every team. I just dodged away where it was needed, hit back as much as possible and when there was the slightest possibility get away with the ball and score.
Took some beatings as well, but mostly managed to still get away with a draw thanks to superior speed and scoring ability. Darkies are better in defense i think, but woodies can score more easy with few players and just have supreme counter ability.
Anyway the team i'll play for double points in the future is dwarves. It's the only team against which i didn't succeed to get a draw at least (lost 2 times). Rerolls burned to fast with all them tackles. Most challenging team to play against with elves IMO
Would like to see some more coaches participate though, where are all those bad ass elven coaches ? You'll have the time of your life, I swear. |
