Can anyone give me a reason why I can not buy a Vampire Lord in a starting Vamp team?

Because the 2003 Annual changed the roster. You can only freeboot the lord now.

I had an interesting experience a while back with vamps, it may have been fixed since. I had a pitch invasion, and a vampire was injured. It gave me an option to use my apothecary, which I did (unsucessfully).

Something overlooked by Skijunkie I guess?
