I voted lucky, because I'm a firm believer in the "Odi factor", just ask peikko about it.

So far 8 out of 13 voted lucky... I am impressed.

Apart from high TR elven games, where the "roll snake eyes first" factor is important, I have always thought that BB is a matter of strategy, which can HIGHLY improve or modify one's luck.

As a personal note, most of the times I have felt unlucky confronting coaches who outplayed me, and felt lucky playing vs worse coaches... is that a clue?

a very good coach plays so he/she dosent have to make to many hard rolls and thus wont need that much luck

I voted versatile and flexible. A good coach should be able to play all teams and against all teams.

I to like to believe that there is a certain point of strategy in BB.

"I know nothing worse than losing to an imbecile who's just being lucky."

Some important Roman general uttered words like these after his army was massacred in a battle against a barbarian horde.

BloodBowl can make me feel like that, but hey, I hate whiners too, so.....

Versitile and Flexible. You need to be able to turn a defense into a threatening drive the moment you get hold of the ball and do it no matter what the opponents tactics are.

A close second for me is the long term strategy. In a league like ranked you have to build your skills very carefully to have a versitile team at all levels.

Ok, granted, the guy who said that was mad, but still: Better lucky than good :p

Flexible...what do you do when your star player gets ko'd or worse? Roll into a ball and just give up? Or are you able to use your other players and still pull off a victory?

Superior in game tactics will defeat luck, long term planning and all else.

Ball control, clock control and making the opponent afraid to risk his star players (aka: you are willing to judiciously apply the mighty boot) are what I enjoy.

I voted for other. I think the most important thing is patience, probably because it is what keeps me from being a good coach.
