I belive Me and Indur have the honor of having played the first NBBL game It was a hard fought game Indur winning 4-2 (My Rats scored nothing in the first half otherwise it might have been closer) |

As Michael reported, it was the Forevergreen Faeries excellent (and lucky) defense in the first half that really decided this match.
The Rat Brigade was really hard pressed after 0-3 in the first half, but their tactics of going after the player's instead of the ball started to payoff in the second half...
In the end the Faeries won the match by 4-2, but it should be noted that the Rat Brigade won the casualties by 4-1. The Faeries actually had only four player's left on the field when the whistle finally blew 
All in all a good game from both sides, and a promising start before the better matches still to come  |

The fat midgets could do little to stop the coward orcs in their second match. Those ugly bastards couldn't believe they had won a match, so they hurried to the tavern and got drunk as norses. Now they are complaining under the bed because "our little heads hurt!". Next step in the road of shame and cowardice: Chappy's undead.
And yes, my orcs are afraid of ghosts too.

The orcs arrived to pitch afraid of the Dakr elves, as they had been told they were evil and ate orc babies and chips, but then it turned out this was just a folk tale. The dark elves only knew how to roll 1's and skulls, and they even were nice guys! So the merry orcs could win the match and go back to the tavern to eat and drink elf babies and chips, for that is what they like most.

Gash Kardrak Communists Results
1. Gash Kadrak Communists 3 Old World Excelsiors 0
Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels led the Communists to an impressive 3-0 victory in their inaugural NBBA game.
2. Gash Kardrak Communists 2 Lakewood Lurkers 1
Karl Marx scoops up a loose ball late in the second half, after his teamates swarm the outnumbered Lurkers and takes it in for the winning score.
3. Gash Kardrak Communists 2 Midnight Cowboys 1
Nikita Krushchev's clutch interception (and slow scamper into the endzone) allows the Communists to win this hard fought match.
4 Gash Kardrak Communists 3 Quenta Silmarillion 0
Up 1 to 0, early in the second half, Leonid Brezhnev heard the coach say let them score quick. Leonid said "To hell with that! We aren't going to let anyone score!". He then promptly intercepted the elven long bomb and decisively rumbled into the endzone to seal the win.
5. Gash Kardrak Communists 2 Shlitz 1
The ball bounced well for the Shlitz but an impressive late game blitz took out their ball-carrying ogre. The Commies seized on this opportunity to take the ball in for the winning score.
6. Gash Kardrak Communists 5 E=mc³ 0
Fidel and Che answered the critics who said that they couldn't score. Che took the opening onside kickoff in for a score and the Communists never looked back.
7. Gash Kardrak Communists 1 Orcus' Republican Guard 0
After the Guard's ogre fumbles a goblin toss, Engles picks up the free ball, courtesy of some nice Communist blocking. But before Engles can make it to the endzone the Guard concedes the match, early in the 1st half.
8. Gash Kardrak Communists 0 Aztec Quacks 2
The Communists bumbled and stumbled during the blizzard that marred the game while the Quacks were reinvigorated and pulled off some very impressive blocking on their way to a 2-0 victory. The Communists mourn the loss of Fidel Castro the victim of vicious fouling and a piling on saurus.
9. Gash Kardrak Communists 1 Spartak Lorien 3
Obviously the hobgoblins have been away from the blast furnaces too long, as they couldn't put up with the sweltering heat. The wood elves, unaffected by the heat, dazzled the remaining chaos dwarf on their way to victory.
