Evening folk´s!

This is Al Ratchett reporting live from the sewers below our fair city of Waterdeep. We have just watched the game between the Waterdeep Sewer Rats and Asmodeus Chosen! Ha great game containing some fumbbls and a lot of blood!. The game started with the Chosen blocking everything in sight. And even though the Sewer Rats did the first touchdown the game wen´t the Chosen ones way. After first half it was a tie and the Chosen were the receving team for the second. The Rats did a great jobb to to steal the ball but in the end Asmodeus players managed fumbbl the ball into the endzone thus winning the game!

I´m standing here with the coach of the Chosen. The Lord of the Nine Hells of Baator, Asmodeus.
"What do you feel now after the game?"

Asmodeus: FEEL?
Al: Yeah! Feel.
Asmodeus: ...
Al: So..what do you plan to do next. How does the future for the team look?
Asmodeus: ...
Al: Any special tactics you found particulary interesting?
Asmodeus: ...
Al: To bad you lost Corin! Any comment on that?
Asmodeus: ...
Al: Well! I guess that says it all! Back to the studio.

What a nice first game for te Black Network. Visiting Waterdeep is all nice and fine (even our zombies had some fun in the City of Splendors), but going down into the sewers to play a ballgame (vs. Waterdeep Sewer Rats)? Our Werewolves complained about getting their nice shiny fur all dirty, but to no avail, the game must go on. After a rather inspiring speech by coach Urgaunt (mostly a list of punishments even the dead fear), they went out onto the ... ahem ... field.

Getting the ball was a nice thing, getting it all the way to paydirt in timegrinding 7 turns was even sweeter. No chance for the equalizer in half one.

Second half was also fine in a bashy sense. We knocked the rats around, stalled their drive early, filled their KO Box with the senseless until only 4 remained on the field and walked into the endzone in turn 8 for the 2-0 score. (Ball was obtained by an interception, btw. I needed a six, but the werewolf has catch ...)

Black Network is quite pleased with their first game. Hopefully the next game can be played at home at recently finished Bone Coliseum.
Getting 80k in winnings is a nice bonus. Mmmmh, profit ...

Welcome!

This is Al Ratchett reporting from a very safe distance away from the Spider Stadium. We have just seen a bloody massacre between Lolth´s Sweet 16 and Asmodeus Chosen. The game started well for the Chosen but ended in a catastrophy. The Sweet 16´s sent them straight back to hell. We do however have an interesting scenario at the stadium. Asmodeus is complaining at the referee about the Sweet 16´s using divine powers. Apparently Asmodeus claims that Lolth herself took possesion of the very talented drow Xune Abaeir. The ref is looking at the Replay right now. No one knows how this will end but we have one of FRS finest ruleexperts here with us, Zakkraxx Lawaflow.

Al: What can you tell us Zakkraxx?
Zakkraxx: Well Al, I don´t know what to say. Wheter or not Lolth did take possesion of the feline drow is unclear and Asmodeus will have a very though time to prove that she did. It seems for now that the Chosen ones will just have to stick with it. This seems to be a verdict that will be in favour to the Sweet 16´s.
Al: What will happen with Asmodeus Chosen now do you think?
Zakkraxx: Well, it won´t be easy for them. They are running uphill from here. Few players and even financial problems. They have made some bad choices.
Al: Thanks Zakkraxx. This is Al Ratchett saying godnight!

This is L'vexx Taelbrun here reporting on Lolth's Sweet 16 debut game against the Daemonic team Asmodeus Chosen.

After the coin toss it was decided that the Drow would play home to the Chosen and start with the kick off.

Stright from the word go this was a bloody spectacle as both drow and daemon fell to bone crunching blows. most notably was Mammon the Viscount's hit on LiNeerlay Wyndyl caused a game ending injury for LiNeerlay.
In the same vein Aunrae Uloavae pinched a nerve trying get away from the daemons and so had to miss the rest of the match and all of the next game, stupid males.

In the closing stages of the 1st half Zimmimar tried headbutting Xune Abaeir and gave himself a mild concussion that sent him off the rest of the game.

In the opening of 2nd half Xune in an awesome display delivered a stunning kick to Furcus which him bearly clinging to life. Drow priestess jumped at the chance to grab hold of such a worthy sacrfice which they took no time in performing the ritual for Lolth.

The Spider Queen pleased with the sacrfice lent Talice Mlezziir the strength to take out Fierna for the rest of the game.
Unfortunely this didnt help as Baalzebul ran the ball in for the first touchdown.

After being knocked down by Mephistophelles Xune leaped back up and delivered a blow his leg that caused him to collapse in pain with a pinched nerve.

After reciving the ball from Rilrae Dalael Xune was sent flying to the ground by Mammon. After the ball scatter into the crowd who threw back G'eldriia Uloavae cleaned it up and scored the equalising touchdown.

End score (1/0/0) Asmodeus Chosen 1 vs 1 Lolth's Sweet 16 (2/1/1)

just to let you know I may be dropping out of the tourny and uninstalling. This game is fun on the board game and once in every 20 games you can have a real nail biter. but most of the time its just who has the luck for this one game. I just played 2 games in this tourny where nothing could go right. on top of a long streak of bad games out of tourny. I know they say the random generator is 100% random, but it seems to sense when your getting aggrevated and pisses you off further, or by just saving that 1 or skull till the most important move you have to make.

I played an online mmorpg for a very long time (over 3 years) and almost from day 1 it would piss me off. I don't have the patience to sit through not having a good time anymore.

It was a cold, icy day that saw the Dwarves of Mithral Hall glaring across the snow-packed blood bowl field at House Freth. There were grumbles from the sidelines and from the team about the witchy elfs making it snow underground, and on the Dwarves home field no less. Fortunately, Bruenor was able to call upon some clerics in the crowd to dispel Llolths dark blessing before they started play.
Not that it really helped all that much
On the first play of the game, Pikel tried to pick up the ball, got his hands tangled in his beard, and ended up bobbling the ball to Nikwillig. Fortunately, the other dwarves had the presence of mind to form a wall around him, and they marched down the field, as Cattie-brie howled in laughter on the sidelines.
The Dwarves of Mithral hall truly came into their own, and soon the ground was littered with groaning elves. Twibbledorf Pwent sent two drow to the not-so-tender ministrations of House Freth Healers, and when he knocked down the ball-carrier, who should pick up the ball successfully this time, but Pikel, who rumbled towards the end zone, not hearing the referee blow the whistle, signalling the half ended.
The second half ran much like the first, with the dwarves tackling and pounding the elves, until there were only seven left on the field of play, most of which were on the ground, groaning. Ivan picked up the ball and was escorted to the end zone by Pikel and Bruenor, when Bruenor said, "Wait!"
Together, they surveyed the battlefield, seeing in satisfaction the fun the other dwarves were having knocking over the sinister Drow, and Bruenor smiled. "This game be almost over, and I've no real wish to stop the match with anything as silly as another kickoff. What say we bide here awhile and let the boys have their fun?"
Ivan looked a Pikel, who shrugged. "Twas ye who got us into this, Bruenor, and I see what ye're sayin. But do ye mind if Pikel takes this one in so I can join in?"
Bruenor laughed, "O' course lad, o' course. Ye'll need to toughen up a bit anyway, when we fight those demons."
So Ivan handed the ball to Pikel, to go join in the fun, but Pikel, who still hadn't really understood why he was there and missed the forests above, wasnt paying attention and smacked the ball back into Ivan's face. Ivan started pounding on Pikel, and the ball dropped into Bruenor's hands, who quickly grabbed it and hung on.
"I see we've much work to do" sighed Bruenor, and he walked into the end zone, chuckling softly.

If you don´t have fun while playing then I can understand you. But we all have streaks of bad luck. The problem is that when the dice go against us we tend to notice the failures more and more and stop seeing tht we also makes some good rolls. As always with a game that involves dice there can be times where skill dissappears and is replaced by luck but mostly not for the whole game.

Mith, its just as Nordmark says. Luck can be harder sometimes and suddenly gets great on other times. This aint chess. There is a luck element that has to be considered. That doesnt mean any strategy is useless in front of the dices. Strategy is very important, to make your rolls the easiest possible and your opponent rolls as hard as possible.

Also, since this is a game, its important to keep in mind that losing or winning doesnt matters. What matters most is having fun. Im having fun even if my team gets beaten, since in this Forgotten Realms BB League there is a Role-Play element that I like a lot.

But I cant force you to stay if someday you decide to quit the league. I would only ask you to think about it before quitting, and if you see that its the only good solution for you, then PM so I can do the necessary changes in the group.

About LtMonkey. I know what you mean LtMonkey, I had difficult time in RL, Blood Bowl and Fumbbl were far in the list of priorities back then. All is settled now in my life, everything works good...(well, most of it, its not a dream world! Bush is still president, there is war everywhere and I dont get 100% on each of my grades... ).

Anyway, I know the feeling too, I too have joined tourneys that never ended or even BEGAN. But that doesnt stop me from playing the game and joining tournaments. This is a RPLife. In Virtual Lifes, ppl can get dragged out for their Real Life at any time. Its just as waiting for a 2+ roll and rolling snake's eyes. That doesnt stop you from trying this 2+ roll...

If you only join in after first season, I would say you should think about joining in 1st season after the pre-seasons. Pre-season will end in a month, so I think that If I prove that I can play for a complete month and stay here to administrate this group, well I'll have succeeded my 2+ roll for keeping my Forgotten Realms League alive!!!

It s not just a question of luck either...
Starting a dark elf team with only lino and 2 reroll can be a nice bet at long term but it will not a short one. It s really hard to start well like that!

Black Network vs. Knights of Myth Dranor 0:4
57000 Spectators

We thought we had a home game ... but those sneaky Shadowdalers showed up in full force at Bone Coliseum. The crowd made this game into a rout. 3 pitch invasions (First with 8! players stunned) basically took the game away, bad blocks and lack of rerolls made the rest. Inability to handle the ball was a real pain. Reminder to coach: new hands for everybody before the next match. And extra practice on blocking techniques. YOU HAVE TO HIT THEM! Not yourselves!

At least nobody got an SI or even his unlife unmade. Earnings were enough to get the funds to complete construction of our second Flesh Golem.

Coach Urgaunt was unavailable for comments after the game. He was laterseen speaking with an enraged and really upset Fzoul Chembryl. Will coach Crgaunt stand on the sidelines in the next match?

Black Network vs. Asmodeus Chosen 3 -0
61000 Spectators

Second game to take place at new Bone Coilisuem in Zhentil Keep.
What a difference to the last game against Knights of Myth Dranor.

The crowd was a quiet one, not very surprising, because politically, we´re "on the same side". But there is no friendship on the gridiron.

Black Network showed they actually learned something: Blocking was fine (3 cas, several KO´s) and ballhandling was ok (good is something completely different). esp. Urebant was really hot today, scoring 3 TDs and a cas, earning him enough spp´s to get 2 skills after the game.
Hurg was hurt badly and was relegated to coaching staff as clipboardholder. His replacement is Kalg, who looks somewhat disturbingly familiar to the security officer responsible for crowd control of the game vs. the Knights o. M. D.

Coach Urgaunt obviously made the right adjustments between the two games.

Forgotten Realms Sport Center Breaking News

Tonight, the Luskan community had the chance to see a very strong bashing game of their loved ones, the Luskan's Cutlasses, who's edges were extremely sharp. The Northmen were looking for their second win in the season.

Their opponent, the Waterdeep's Sewer Rats, were looking to get their first win after 2 heartbreaking losses.

The game began with the Cutlass receiving the first kick off. But the Sewer Rats were eager to get the ball as soon as possible and tried a on-side that gave them the ball, Cooksy catching the ball after the kickoff. The Cutlass answered with a powerfull sequence of hitting and grabbed the ball in the following minutes with a nice blitz from Erik "Red" Stonepunch who KILLED!! Cooksy with a very hard hit in the back. The Sewer Rats apothecary promptly healed the Gutter Runner. The Cutlass scored shortly after, driving a player off the pitch, while injuring Sewer Rats's Zambar(GR) who will have to miss next game, hurting Zeltark, pintching Hainz nerves (Liner, Niggled), KOing Slan and Bitz.

This first half resume pretty well the game. The Cutlass really bashed the Sewer Rats into this game, winning 4-1 and leaving them with one dead player (Slan, storm vermin) and 2 players down for next game (Hainz(niggling injurie, Liner) and Zambar, Gutter Runner).

The crowd cheered for at least 20 minutes at the end of the game, and a fight started in the crowd between some partisans of both teams, but Luskan's Forces settled the fight fast (hitting more on Waterdeep fans then on Luskan's ones, Waterdeep Officials called for a Commity to invistigate the affair).

Mirk Ironhand interviwed the star of this game, Olaf "Blood" Dragonslayer (MVP, 2 casualities).

FRS: Olaf "Blood" Dragonslayer, what are your toughts about this second win in as many games for your team?

OD: We played very intensivly tonight. "Red" Stonepunch gave them a serious blow to think about right in the beginning, almost killing Cooksy. One sure thing, seeing all this blood on the field really boosted our appetite for blood. We didnt gave them a chance and thats why we won.

FRS: I think coach Thunderfist hired a new player at the end of the match?

OD: Yes, he hired Ulf "Stone" Armbreaker, a young boy from Luskan that his known for his nasty brawls around the inns of the city. He will really be a good player or at least a good basher. Now I got to go, guys are waiting for me for the drinkin'!!!

FRS: Wait "Blood", one last ques... !!!WHAM!!! AAAAAAARRRGGGGGGG!!!

Forgotten Realms Sports are sorry to tell you that Mirk Ironhand will be spending the next few days in the temples of Luskan to recover from a broken leg, injury caused by Mister Aruph "Red" Thunderfist, who didnt agreed to see Ironhand try to hold one of his players for too long while he and the other players were waiting to go drink beer all night.

The head coach of the "waterdeep sewer rats" will now have to come forth, after being asked again and again about the 3 looses the team has suffered, Head coach Rascal > it was not my intention to reveal this allready but since every one is asking all the time here it is YES it is true the rats have been taking a beating 3 times in a row all 3 times in games they could easily have won without any effort at all, and YES it is part of a plan since this is only preseason we wanted to give the impresion that we were no threat to anyone in this tourney now however as our plan is out in the open we will not loose again EVER!

"Hi there, I'm Joe Bucksnort, here with the coach of the Dwarves of Mithral Hall, Cattie-Brie, after their second win in a row, and their second win of the season. Tell me Cattie-Brie, what in your mind were the keys to victory today?"

"Well Joe, I must say that not much coachin' really went on today. The Demons were not at full strength, so me boys just went out and did what me boys like to do - and they like stompin' on demons almost as much as they like stompin on the stinkin' drow!"

"That's great Cattie-Brie. What do you think you can do to improve your team as the season progresses?"

"Joe, ye were there the same as me. We both know that we still need to teach pikel to pick up and hold on to the ball. It works great in practice, but when he's on the pitch 'tis like he fergets everythin. Would you believe at one point when his brother tossed him the ball, he was lookin' at the grass on the pitch and mutterin' 'doo dad?' I think I'm goin tae try and find another dwarf in our great halls, one that can actually handle the ball and mebbe help me poor aged father out on some blocks."

Well thanks Cattie-Brie, that looks like all the time we have here. Once again, that's the Dwarves of Mithral Hall 2, Asmodeous Chosen 1. Until next time, I'm Joe Bucksnort. Back to you Al - hey Cattie-brie, now that that's finished lets you and I go out to dinner, shall we?"

(camera guy) "hey boss, you're still live!"

Thanks Joe!

God afternoon! I´m Al Ratchett reporting live from beatiful Mithral Hall. We have just seen a stunning game between the Dwarves of Mithrall Hall and Asmodeus Chosen. Looking at the startline for each team this looked like a peace of cake for the dwarves. The Chosen entering the field with only 8 players! But boy where we in for a suprise. The dwarves started as recievers but a critical mistake at the beginning saw Asmodeus ladz taking the lead. The dwarves once again recieved facing only 6 Chosen players on the field! But the Chosen were quick and almost managed a breakthrough before the dwarves could take control of the game and right in time before the whistle score a tie! The second half saw the Chosen recieving the ball but the dwarves were to strong and the ball was quickly stolen and the dwarves took the lead. In one desperate drive the Chosen tried to score the equaliser but without any results. The game wn´t the dwarves way but Asmodeus Chosen are up running again. The next game will be critical for them in this turnament! An something wich is more enjoyable is that the circulating rumors about Asmodeus sacking the team thus making his generals go back ti waging war against heaven seem to be false. It looks like we will se more of those devils in the future.

And now some words from our sponsors!

If it ain´t Mithral Beer it´s Waterdeep Water
