can we hire wizards? Cool

No.

That's not quite true. of course you can hire a wizard.

It is against the rules to use it tho Twisted Evil

You might be allowed to use it as pre match fireworks ... but erm, nowhere near the players Razz

I suppose no one minds if you hit your own player by a wizard, though. At least as long as it is not a rooted Treeman...

The only true way to finish off a freebooter gobbo/whatever. Wink

This makes billy glad he was sick the day he should have played burt. Maybe by not being around he lost 4-0 to the big hairy fella but at least billy is around to remember that day (and the ones after it)

Erm, I've just seen off another top 3 player in Group B... Poor SubSonic had to retire Solo when his apoth failed on a -1Str and mng... and he aged with a niggle on skill up!!... Match: http://fumbbl.com./FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=756693

Burt really is seeing red at the moment!

evulh Burt... but i guess this was expected...
first block in the game... POW... SI for Han Solo (-STR), Apo fails...
And like Wotfudboy mentioned, after the game Han Solo aged his first niggle, so i had to retire him... if i would have gotten a double on the skill, i would prolly taken dauntless and carried on, as Han was so good...ag5, mv9, diving tackle, side step, shadowing... my first player ever to reach 126 spp's... and first one to pass 76 spp's without any injuries Smile

That's the risk everyone runs from not retiring their niggled players and purchasing fresh ones. Coaches have to do everything they can to keep their TR down to reduce the chance of handicaps going against them, so ditching exceesive cash, and some of the other trimmings people buy up.

I am "lucky" in that Burt can't use rerolls, and that really keeps TR low... especially as he is now niggled, so he is rarely going to get the chance of catching a virus!

Poor old Burt though has missed the possibility of making the top three now in Group B, as Kutarmi 1ERS forfeited, leaving one game for him to play while 5 points away from 3rd place. Ah well, it was a good try! I didn't expect to do so well witha Minotaur anyway!!

Count Duckula emerges as the winner of group A!

Even thought the stats use team name as a tie-breaker when the score is even (A Witch Called Mitch 22pts, Count Duckula 22pts), Count Duckula won the head-to-head match 2-1 and is looking forward to the playoffs (if there will be some playoffs, that is)! Smile

Billy has played his last group game and currently tops Group B, only 2 teams can possibly depose him now and they have to face one another in the final round. Billy has crossed his fingers for either a draw or a forfeit game which is the only he can remain top.
It sucks when your fate is in another's hands

Well, the finals have begun, and Dozer the Bull managed to get through a tough match up;

http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=801408

The opposing Mino brought some Illegal drugs, and the Str 6 was a bit worrying after the apoth was used on a Niggle, But Dozer won through.

Now he waits to see which of the ever present WarDancers he will meet in round 2.

Well, Dozer the Bull has made it to the final and await the winner of the second semi-final, in which Florence will do battle against Lord Borak.

It is interesting to note, that after all the early success, no Wardancers made it into the semi finals !

Dozer is currently preparing for the final by eating plenty of grass ... specialy imported from Holland !

Will there be a new season of one player madness?, and if so, is it worth keeping our current one man team's?, or will we have to start afresh?

There will be both, one for old "teams" and one for new ones. They will be opened for joining as soon as finals are played and they will kick off somewhere near mid august.

Well the final was played last night, with Dozer the Bull emerging victorious;

To top it off, he became a Legend in the final game (although Niggled skilling).

Season 2 is GO!!!

My Ogre played a vamp, and we were horrified to discover that out of the 11 teams entered, ST4 is the lowest in the league!!

4 bulls, 3 minos, 2 strigs, 1 vamp, 1 ogre (if my memory serves me)

the score was 1-1. Ogre KOd vamp, but boneheaded in front of endzone on T8 to fail to equalize. Then the vamp double 1s leaving me 8 turns to equalise. Did it on T 7. No aging.
