Cool. I did a couple myself on my site which you're welcome to add to the list. One-turning rookie dwarves and dark elves.

For those who don't have hosting, you could use MixX's play creator to make your plays as well. I've hosted a copy of it so you don't have to deal with angelfire's hotlinking "issues".

(To use my copy, just click on the "get regular URL" button and change http://angelfire.come/magic/mixx/" to 'http://witwat.net/luke/javabbowl/play/".)

now, add the link from the greatreplays section with the dark elf 1 turn touchdown... and you will have a genuine game example too!

Which skill advances would a khemri team need at least, to be able to perform an oneturner?

yeah, frenzy and a quick snap and its "fairly" simple. without frenzy and its very difficult. also remember you will need to get the ball to the blitz-ra, which is difficult for our khemri friends Wink

a khemri OTT would be immense to see!

what I'd like to see is whether it is actually possible to score a 1-turner against some of the more common 1-turner defences. Even with skaven, there are ways of making it pretty difficult.

e.g. something like:

Code:

|....|x.x.x.x|....|
|...x|.x...x.|x...|
|....|.......|....|

I'm sure there are ways .. I've just never gotten around to trying to work them our Wink

Think its impossible to score a TD in one turn with TR100 Norse?

Think again!!

Norse One Turn Touchdown!

Its up in the userguide, if anyone has any others then if you would like to submit them then that would be great! Smile

Strange ...

Are you sure it is possible ?

Wardancer should go in another square normally when Mino does his first block ...

It seems ...

Or what ?

amazing theory!

I think there is a minor mistake however... you have to block the gap before blocking with the mino, mino block 2 won't push the player so far out i think... *slow grey cells in action, might be mistaken of course*

still briliant though!

hey!

on the second mino blitz, it doesnt really matter as the catcher can be placed in any 3 of the squares, i guess if a different defence was used, then it would be wise to move them up before blitzing incase you may have forgotten any holes!

the mino is the biggest liability in that formation... if he rolls a 1 for the blitz... much better to use a blitzer with some guarders, the mino could be useful in this instance, as his first skill is generally Guard, which will give you more blocking dice to choose from. try not to take down any players as they will get knocked out; the only time you want them to stay on their feet! the main reason i used the minotaur to blitz is that he has st5 and horns, which will set up an easy 3 dice block, as we all know how liable they are to roll skull/pows!, if you had some guard id recommend you use blitzers in this instance!

a good place for the guarding mino will be between the blitzer and the catcher, the bald lineman, as his guard will be of optimal use for several blocks!!

also, place guarders, wherever you feel you will need extra assists. i cannot stress enough how useful guard is in this instance.

this is, a setup for this defence, you will need to modify it depending on whatever defence you are presented with. sometimes you are only faced with 3 linemen! and this is very very difficult!

learning how to chainpush effectively will lead to improvement in your overall BB skill, you will no longer fear a normal cage, you now know how you can isolate the ball carrier, unless you play maxblb! this is also good for when you need to score in open play in the last turn when you are involved in a maul in the middle of the pitch, a few calculated chainpushes can result in the extra square or two that can get you the last gasp TD

if you really wanted to, you could engineer a player 5 sqaures from the side into the crowd! Very Happy or towards your DP Smile

if this part of the user guide improves 1 persons game even by a slight amount then it has been a success!

i encourage all of you to share any tips and tricks you have discovered rather than hoarding them to yourself! this is what makes the community so good after all

and now, i really do have to go to bed!!! Smile

Great idea to let ppl know how to make a OTT. There is nothing more annoying than waiting for your opp to set up the players while he thinks how to put them for the OTT. 8 min set up for one turn and you're just waiting to meake those skill rolls for your players, that will result in ageing no doubdt, but anyway great job. The ultimate thing for people to do is of coarse just to play skaven or woodelf......
PS sorry for lousy spelling.
