You may want to copy the following into your positions.ini file. Just copy it, open the file up in Notepad (Or BBEdit, or emacs, or whatever you like) and paste this block in somewhere:

THROWER=T
CATCHER=C
BLITZER=B
LINEMAN=L
|
Without this, all players show up as 'L', which isn't terribly useful. |

while you're at it, you might want to put this in your portraits file. note, i used the default DE linemen and blitzers, and the HE thrower and catchers.
