After a great start to the World's Edge Monumental tournament the Fangs Of Sotek suffered their first loss of the tournament against the dwarves of Gooooooold! The Gooooooold! dwvares received the ball at the start of the first half and with well disciplined order slowly marched the ball up the pitch whilst taking out the Fangs skink players. With no agile players remaining the Fangs were unable to stop the dwarves ending the half with a touchdown advantage.
A lucky break early in the second half allowed the Fangs to quickly equalize. However as more skink players were sent to the dugout the Fangs were unable to hold off the Gooooooold! dwarves for the rest of the half and the dwarves scored at the end of the half to win 2-1.
The win now puts Gooooooold! in controlling position to win the Karak Kadrin division with three rounds left. After some sign of activity last interview, Fangs head coach Xel'naga appears to have gone back to meditating on the Old Ones plans. With fans now leaving, does such a scheme include the Fangs being able to bounce back from this defeat? |
