See the group page for more info about head hunts.

-------------------------------------------------

This poll is over. WINNER:
Dark March, 'keepers of the flame' Bull Centaur

-------------------------------------------------

Original fluff:

Korhedron, the captain of Korhedron's Fanatics was furious. He sat alone in a shadowy corner in the Blood Bowl inn at Karak Kadrin. The inn was mostly empty except for a few Dwarfs and some Orcs & Goblins who were celebrating their victory in the last match.

Earlier today Korhedron and his team had played a match which, like so many others that they had played, was a perfect failure. If it had just been his team that was performing badly, Korhedron thought... but no, the whole Dark Elf Host that was participating in the Grudge League had been performing badly. The carefully laid plans were about to be shattered because of the inability of the Dark Elf players. Something needed to be done, and soon.

Seething with anger he threw his half-full ale mug at the Dwarf behind the counter and shouted, "Give me another one of the strongest you have, NOW!". The Dwarf grumbled something but complied to the order.

Korhedron was lost in thoughts as the ale was placed before him. After a while he began to smile wickedly. Slamming his fist on the table and shouting "That's it!", he began to leave the inn. The celebrating Orcs & Goblins didn't notice anything as the full ale mug flew to the floor and the lonely Dark Elf left the inn.

A few days later in Kislev during the Kislev Open Finals all 4 Dark Elf captains had gathered in private.

"Something must be done now, our performance has not been nowhere as good as it was supposed to be.", Korhedron said.

"Agreed, we're doing everything we can on the field, but we're still being hammered.", answered one of the captains.

"Indeed, if something isn't done we will all be sacrified to Khaine, assuming we even survive that long.", replied another captain.

"So, it's agreed that something must be done, but what?", asked the third captain.

"It's time to do what we do best, and that's why I've summoned a fifth person here.", said Korhedron and pointed at a dark corner. The other captains looked there but couldn't see anything at first. Slowly a figure began forming in the darkness, just enough for them to notice. "Just give us the names", said the figure with an ice cold voice and disappeared back into the shadows.

The captains looked at each other and after a while one of them said with deep respect in his voice, "Of course... Assassins! but who shall we take down?".

"Let's look for suitable targets and meet again after a while. Then we'll decide on who will be the fortunate ones to taste the Dark Venom.", said Korhedron.

"That sounds like a plan, then it's agreed.", said one of the captains as they began leaving. Korhedron stayed for a while and smilingly was thinking for himself, 'the plan is in motion, all that remains is to decide who to take down...'

Well, I won't vote for headhunting. Razz

I don't mind if you vote for one of my orcs though (but I don't feel like I have any uber-player)

The Grudgebound Avengers would gladly nominate ever single player in the league. Unfortunately the team's funds are insufficiant for this task and ways to despose of the pathetic "opponents" must be found elsewhere. So far D'Gast swears that he'll single handedly "take care" of every single halfling that sets foot on the green soil of the arenas - in the meanwhile he'll settle for any other player getting in his way.

The team's list of grudges grow day by day along with the names of the hated ones. Don't worry: One of your players will be on this list too if it's not already the case!

When the information about some "halflinghater" reached Sappe's ears he took his notebook and wrote:

"Add to supply list: pepper, honey, mint and an apple,
these might be the right match for the "dark" elven meat.
Add dish:<i>Roasted Jerome D'Gast served on saladbed with an apple
stucked into his oral end of his sissy self</i> under the
Góurmet dishes along with the text <b>available soon</b>"

Yes. The vote will begin after WE ends. It won't last long.

At his weekly dark arts community group (bring your own body parts), Kalmort was suprised to find that the Moonlight Stalkers top player Sharpedge was rumoured to be on an assassination shortlist. Although most believe the dark elf team Korhedron's Fanatics to be the cause of this head hunt, some say that members of the Sacred Worshippers of Nuffle are responsible for the werewolf being targeted (a form of Nuffle's divine retribution).
What do when assassins are about? Make sure you hire them! Kalmort has put forward his own selected target for the Dark Elves blades. Meanwhile Sharpedge's meat is being carefully checked before it is allowed to be devoured.

The Sacred Worshippers of Nuffle refuseth to believe such feeble accusations. There is no other god than Nuffle, and those who are pagans to him needeth to be burned on the stakes of hellfire. None of the Dark brethren shall command us, for they are all nasty beings of the dark, suited only for making bonfires. This sacred rite shall burn their bodies, thus purifying their evil spirits with the sacred fire and bringeth their souls to eternal peace under the eye of our lord Nuffle.

Thus, we refuseth to be acknowledged to have anything to do with such savage beings...lest that be a sacred crusade upon their paganistic home soil to purify their land with our sacred fire.

It's quite obvious that everyone sympathises with D'Gast - hating halflings is after all a feeling shared by many, though most are ashamed to admit it in public. No wonder as halflings are a inferior race and hating them could indicate that one also fears them but this is not the case!

As D'Gast has pointed out so many times before halfling teams are an insult to the world - for these pot-bellied dwarves to make teams of their own indicates that they deem themselves worthy of Blood Bowl and thus that they are on par with other races. Though D'Gast does not refuse that the flings are indeed in approximately the same category as humans, orcs etc. when it comes to general incompetence, it would be below even these puny races to step on the same arena floor as those stunted abbominations.

D'Gast wishes to announce that he does not fear this 'Sappe'. As far as he's concerned it's just another bump in the road in the quest to eradicate Halflings from the sport.

UPDATE! D'Gast convinced the coach to cast the team's vote on himself. He's anxious to see if anyone has the guts to take him on.
