The Circus team deliberately does not have a Cannon. It would duplicate the Gnome's schtick. Thus I'd never ever support adding a Cannon to the Circus roster.

As it isn't going to get implemented it doesn't really matter. If people want icons and Pat wants to make them whats the problem?
Thats like saying Horrors shouldn't have ball and chain as it replicates Cheaters schtick.
ps last time I went to a circus there was a cannon! |

That's precisely why the Horrors roster will be having the Screamer rather than the Spawn. The Screamer is unique, while the Spawn is way too close to the Snots and Goblin Cheaters's schticks.

why is it wrong if more then 1 team use a player type?
for me the following players in different teams seem quite similar:
goblin - goblin cheater, goblin, squig herder
halfling - halfling, chaos halfling
beastman - nurgle, chaos
skeleton - undead, khemri
zombie - undead, necro
and many more
not to mention trolls and ogres. i dont find any problems with these ones even though they are not unique. so a cannon could not hurt in the circus either. |

There is a huge difference between a baseline player of teams based on the same race and the signature "positionals" used to give each team its unique flavour. You are comparing apples to oranges. The value of uniqueness seems only to have increased with Peikko's decision to limit the Stunty Leeg to 15 teams.
A cannon that duplicates another teams unique positionals? A bad idea. A potential Star Player? That might be an idea worth exploring.
