Hi! I thought I would start its own thread so I don't have to chase links across multiple threads.

I found myself with some time and some renewed interest in online BloodBowl (since my tabletop leauge dried up) and am looking to update all the CORE set of icons to new and cleaner versions. I am not looking so much to re-invent the icons style so much, but there has been an extra-large pitch idea floating around.

So here we go! V1.0 is COMPLETE! All positions and Star Players are represented!

You should be able to dump them in your ICONS folder and begin playing. There is an ICON.INI also which has some housekeeping and fixed psoitions if I added/removed and Icon.

Is there anywhere one could see these icons. Id love to upgrade my human and woodelf icons, but id like to see the new ones first

Nick are you going o do that for the "Normal" Fields, or for the "Large Fields" that i asked Ski for (and that he approved to yeha!)

If I make 'LARGE' field icons, they won't be Super-deformed cute icons... I know there are people who like their bloodbowl serious and brutal looking and don't care for the pudgy cute kind.

I need to clean up the default icons before I do anything else. They are baaaaaaaaaad

soon nobody will give a damn about the normal icons mate ^^

I am not sure that is true, since a ton of people still use Small field and many still use CIRCLES. Since the 'normal' icons look gross, I want to fix them before I start a whole nother project.

There are plenty who like the cute pudgy icons.

And there are plenty who like the normal sized field so the text box etc is at a good size on smaller monitors.

mmm...while i love the idea of a "freshened" set of icons...from just seeing the Humans and Orcs I would offer the folowing; Lineman and Blitzers look far too similair. With the only difference the "kendo" mask. Plus the catchers look of the same "stock" The catchers as they are now suggest their ST2...these look too uniform.

Same with th e Orcs really...all look basically the same. Since it isn't possible to have 2 different sets when the same race play I find it a bit anoying as it is...if suddenly all 22 orcs on the field have the same look...well it will get woorse.

I like pudgy and cute mind you...but i REALLY like postions all looking a bit different. This is also the problem with current Elves and Amazons for that matter. Some DIFFERENCE!

The GW figs make the models far to similar. The new human team is very very hard to distinguish. Maybe because they are wearing uniforms and Uniforms are usually 'uniform'

I could switch humans back to LRB3.0 figs where catchers wore leather while everyone else had plate.

And Orcs, I dunno... They are similar, the figs are similar. I don't know how to make them 'different' without making them look not like the figs.
