Hello there, i have been trying to make my own icons. Which programs do poeple use, and also how do you make the white background of the icon transparent?

make your icon in paint, then use this program to set the white transparent

ive have pretty much every bb mini painted (though comredaes need to be done!) but if it helps, i can take photos of my minis face on and side views to anyone who might find it useful? i tried copying the latest orcs, lineman above, it bears a slight resebblance, but i cant get the sense of scale right...

I am only doing minor conversions of the icons that are allready made. i am not very good at it either.

Or you could use something like Gimp to do it, I'm quite sure you can do the transparent thing (and other image stuff) in it. It is not ment for drawing tho. But I think you can retouch your icons with it, if you know how to.

I also use Gimp for making icons.
Transparency and animation are no problem with it.
And its free.

yea first go Smile for some reason he looks like he is line dancing or something.
