I'm not sure this is the right place to post, so if it isn't, please move my post accordingly.
I'm a chat/IRC noob, and I am currently trying to set up Chatzilla - Now I'm sure I have installed it correctly, but the setup instructions in the user guide make no sense.
For instance, it tells me to "open "autoconnect servers" and add the irc.Fumbbl.com server - There is no such thing. Autoconnect URLs, but I don't think that is the one. Also, I must check the "also connect to the..", adding channel, but there is no such checkable box?
Am I doing something totally wrong, or are the instructions outdated? Also, if anyone can help me set up Chatzilla so I can chat on the FumBBL channel it would be heartily appreciated, I can't wait to start playing on the Academy league  |

Oh, right. Typo in my post, but I entered it correctly. I still can't get it to work, though

Can you access it with the java applet? If not, your ISP may have blocked IRC (as it is the case for me, currently). |

why dont you use the link on the top menus :
http://fumbbl.com/chat.php
just click on "connect to chat" and it opens chatzilla+server+ chan all by itself (providing you are using mozilla as browser) |

1. Go to Chatzilla Preferences.
2. Click on Global settings, then select the Startup tab.
3. Click on Add (Auto-connect URLs).
4. Fill in "irc://irc.fumbbl.com/fumbbl" in the prompt (without the quotes).
5. Restart Chatzilla.
I think that should do the trick. |

The java chat doesn't work for me either, but I recall having used IRC sometime last year, and I had the same ISP then.

easiest way is by far -
Install chatzilla (and have no other irc-client installed)
Then press the link on http://fumbbl.com/chat.php and then when it opens - then right click and click on open at startup |

Drat, it still doesn't work. I get "irc.fumbbl.com" is an invalid IRC client.
