With seven qualifiers down and five more in progress,
GLT II is off to a bash filled start.

Of the five qualifiers in progress, we have in the finals:
-----

Greenskin Horde (286/239 Orc)
vs
Dark Star Dandies (210/195 ChaosDwarf)

Both sides have the cash for stars, so Morg and Hthark will probably show up.
GH has well developed BoBs and can play the fouling game with 2 DPs.
I wouldn't give DSD a chance if they didn't have the 3 +ST increases.
Even so, they are down one Bull Centaur.

Plorg's Pick: Greenskin Horde by 1

-----

Rotten Convenience (209/230 Undead)
vs
Evil Hand (193/193 Orc)

Both teams have already put their Stars on, with Count von Drakenborg and
Morg 'N' Thorg waiting for the final. Evil Hand has the overall ST advantage,
but with only one Tackler their blitzers will have trouble pinning down the
mob of Ghouls (one with AG 5) and the Count as well.

Plorg's Pick: Rotten Convenience by 1

-----

Athel Loren Guardians (465/345 WoodElf)
vs
Graveyard Saints (231/233 Undead)

The Count is playing once again against the wood elves of horror.
Caldoris Thundercall is better than the Count however, with ST 5 and skills a plenty.
This player has personally inspired dozens of zombies and skeletons
throughout the ages to enroll in Dirty Player school.
Let's hope they make their alma mater proud. Very Happy

Plorg's Pick: Athel Loren Guardians by 3

-----

Team Fredrick III (269/215 DarkElf)
vs
Doomy Diggers (273/248 ChaosDwarf)

Two venerable and legendary teams.
Some may disagree, but Plorg believes that the Chaos Dwarves have this game.
12 Dark Elves vs 14 + Hthark is not friendly for the elves,
especially since they are missing some key positionals.

Plorg's Pick: Doomy Diggers by 1

-----

Untote leben laenger (212/193 Undead)
vs
Ancient Horned Ones (204/196 Chaos)

Both teams here are relatively light compared to other qualifier winners.
They seem to be evenly matched until one factors in the appearance of the Count (again).
AOH has only one Claw on the team, and once he is out of the game they lack
any real casualty power. Against the Undead's Mummies and 2 DPs, the Chaos
are out bashed and against the pack of developed Ghouls they are out played.

Plorg's Pick: Untote leben laenger by 2

-----

Hopefully Prinz can finish up after the remaining qualifiers have started,
and he can give you Prinz's Picks. Take it away Prinz...

The 4 AM Qualifier was postponed due to a lack of coaches. There are 3 qualifiers left. One at 4 PM one at 10 PM, and to make up the one that was postponed, we will start that one as soon as there are 8 coaches in the channel (#Fumbblmajors) who are eligble and ready to play.

Come join the fun!

And now for the weather.

GLTII Qualifier #13:

Agile cats for a change ( 290 / 271 Dark Elf )
vs
Bad Beardy Beer Bellies ( 245 / 236 Dwarfs)

The Dwarfs don't have a whole lot to make up for the Elf's speed and agility.
All the Tackle in the world will not help you if you can't reach your opponent.
Even a cage might be hard with all those strength 4's on the Elfs side, especially if that AG 6 Blitzer comes to play.
But the Dwarfs might be able to put their cash and Strip Ball Runner to good use.
Another DP would certainly have helped the Dwarfs to take advantage of having a deeper bench.

Prinz' Prediction: Agile cats for a change by 1

GLTII Qualifier #14:

Short Wild Purple ( 224 / 179 Chaos Dwarf )
vs
Night Of The Living Claws - 1 ( 187 / 193 Necromantic )

If the Chaos Dwarfs manage to take down the Wolfs quickly it could make a big difference.
However, neither of the Bulls has Tackle, and an unskilled Big Guy is always a liability.
If put to good use, the massive quantity of Dirty Playing Necro's might give a definite advantage.
Two good handicaps might also give the Necro's a big advantage ( or they might not help at all ).
Still, the Necro's are missing a Flesh Golem so the cage might be hard to stop.

Prinz' Prediction: Night Of The Living Claws -1 by 1 in OT

GLTII Qualifier #15:

Naggaroth Dark Daggers ( 186 / 140 Dark Elf )
vs
Dovie'andi se tovya sagain ( 213 / 183 Skaven )

I don't see the Dark Elfs standing much of a chance here.
The Skaven can easily freeboot some Linerats if they feel they need to, and the Elfs will only have 9 players playing the game.
With the Elfs MB out they will have a hard time capitalising on the rat's AV7, and most of the Skaven can outrun the Elfs.
Especially the one turner.

Prinz' Prediction: Dovie'andi se tovya sagain by 3

GLTII Qualifier #16: This time it's personal

Fluffy Kittens and more ( 271 / 232 Norse)
vs
Haandbold Piger ( 273 / 232 Chaos)

With both teams stocked up on damage abilities this should be a pretty gory match.
The Kittens, always a crowd favourite, have the advantage in Dirty Players.
A nice stash of cash also allows them to get a wizzard and a nicer star than the Chaos team.
The Chaos team has 3 Claw players and 1 Claw/RSC player.
The 2 AG5 players ( one Beastman and one Chaos Warrior ) might well be the difference maker.
This might be the answer to the question "What is more mean, DP or Claw/RSC?".
High FF on both sides will hopefully keep them ready for the actual tourney, while ensuring that rolls are undecided beforehand.
All in all, the game might be decided in the early stages when we find out what gives in sooner, AV7 against Claw/RSV or AV8/9 against DP.
This should be a sight to see. With bashing and ballhandling abilities the game should be interesting for everyone.

Prinz' Prediction: Haandbold Piger by 1 in OT

Just a minor update.
#13 was indeed won by the Agile cats. It was a much bigger blowout than i expected though Smile
#14 turned out to be very close indeed. It did indeed go into OT, it needed a coin to decide the game though.

Plorg's Pick: Fluffy Kittens and More by 1, but taking so much damage that they have no hope of winning GLT2.

Fluffy Kittens will win 2-1 and take less damage than predicted. I would like to see Norse make some waves in GLT.
