It is a sad day today, for one of Forever Runningshttp://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=149287 greatest players was retired today.
Ultimeushttp://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=2980863, our star catcher was retired today because of his TR rating and his niggling injury (which was brought on by aging. No opponent was able to hurt Ultimeus permanently, a testament to his skill (I realized that the Apo could have something to do about that, but truly, the apo fails more often than not, and until it starts succeeding better than 50% of the time, than he's getting no credit whatsoever)).
Even through all his skill, he was more of a hindrance to the team. So in typical true star fashion he stepped down and will leave room for another would be star to take his place.
Truly a player to be feared, it was nigh impossible to stop Ultimeus. On the drive, his AG 5 and leap was enough to jump over other players and score easily, without breaking a sweat.
When defending, his strip ball coupled with AG 5 and leap was able to get him into tight spots and steal the ball away from opponents. Jump up allowed him to always be a threat, even when you bring him down.
Ultimeus will join Rurioshttp://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=2023372 in the team headquarters as a offensive specialist, there to help the coach with tips on scoring and setting up a strong drive.
