Those of you who have been using the bug reporting system in the past know how frustrating it has been to deal with it. While the page was created with good intentions, it turned out to become flooded with bug reports to a point where it was unmanageable.

To solve this, I've created a completely new bug reporting page. This is a completely new system, with a clean slate (ie, none of the old bug reports are there). The reason for this is that there were literally hundreds of bug reports and most of them were impossible to reproduce, didn't have enough information, or simply weren't bugs (feature requests and such).

The new system is much much simpler, both for those who submit reports, and those of us who need the information from them (e.g. Kalimar and me). The core changes are as follows:

Tags
Bugs can be tagged with a number of different tags. Currently, there are tags for Skills, Severity and Actions. Over time, I will add more tags in order to be able to keep bugs organized.

Anyone can add/remove tags from bug reports (if you abuse this, you'll lose the ability to interact with bug reports). This is done through the comment system.

Easier search
With the tag system, it's much easier to search for bugs. Simply use the tag search to find a subset of bugs that are relevant for the situation you are looking for.

Easier image uploads
As part of the comment system, you can very easily drag in an image to the comment. This will show up as a thumbnail. Note that images will, as always, have to be approved before they show up for other people on the site.

Voting
Every coach can vote up or down a bug report. This sum will be used to sort the bug reports showing on the page. The primary use for this is for me and Kalimar to get an idea of which bugs are important to look at.

No feature requests
While this isn't an actual feature, the idea with this new page is to keep it strictly for bugs. Feature requests go on the forums, and any bug reports that are feature requests will be closed.

I am very much hoping that this refresh will make things significantly easier for you all, and keep the bugs under control for me and Kalimar.

You'll find the new bug system in the same place as before:

Bug page

Happy bug hunting, and let me know if you find problems with this new system.
