DLE- ARC Power Rankings 4.4
DLE's ARC Power Rankings 4.4
OK you guys should know the drill by now, but as a reminder... NO game AFTER round 4 is taken into consideration for these rankings.
1.) Wolfenburg Wolfskins (+1): At this point the HYPE seems to be reality as fans start to ask if there are steroids pumped into those Pelts!
2.) Broekwater Patriots (+3): Decisive win over the ever-pesky Hawgs of Rotenbach pushes the Pats up a few spots.
3.) Kemperbad Knights (-): Knights better start finding their way into the win column or they may start to slide down the rankings.
4.) Flashfurt Universe (-): Defending champs are in same boat as Kemperbad... Their Reputation is keeping them at the Top of the rankings. Action is soon needed to avoid Big Slide
5.) Monte Castello Wreckers (-4): Wreckers lose in their first non-victory game. The next will be tough with all the injuries, but I still have faith.
6.) Norden Legion (+1): Tie vs Wolfenburg shows they can still run with the Big Dogs (or atleast their skins), but to Maintain this spot or climb these rankings we need to see more W's.
7.) Kislev White Wolves (+1): Sadly, the matchup I was looking forward to ended up a draw. But I believe that is enough to tell me that KWW belongs towards the top of the rankings.
8.) San Luis 49ers (+1): The Stat Freaks continue to impress. Not that they've had stiff competition. The next 3 matches should be a great thermometer to measure the temperature of this team.
9.) Hargendorf Unicorns (+2): The DLE's ONLY 4 win team after 4 Rounds helps the 1-horns break into the TOP 10.
10.) Templehof Thunder (+2): Quietly working their way up the rankings. The Thunder are undefeated (3/1/0) heading into this round's clash with 4/0/0 Hargendorf.
11.) Wolfsbach Scimitars (+3): Like the Thunder, the Butter knives are also undefeated at 3/1/0. Also like the Thunder, they should be challenged this Round. Their opponent, the also 3/1/0 Noners from San Luis.
12.) Erengrad Vikings (-6): The Vikes loss to Grenzburg causes them a decent slide down the charts.
13.) Rotenbach Razorbacks (-3): Almost appeared to not show against the Pats. Will need to play better against Top teams if they hope to win division this season.
14.) Marienburg Foxes (+1): Managing a draw vs the defending champs is a step in the right direction.
15.) Bilbali Rangers (+3): Tough team to read, but I think a current middle of the pack ranking is just about right for this squad.
16.) Emsk Red Cardinals (+5): This team, like the Rangers, has been up and down the charts. Like the Rangers, I think middle of the pack is where they currently belong.
17.) Irrana Avalanche (+8): A victory over the #1 team will help you to climb the rankings, but a little more consistancy is needed to get much higher than this.
18.) Grenzburg Greenskins (+8): The Greenskins victory over the Vikings comes as a shock. Maybe those "Orcs" are coming to life.
19.) Nuln Gunners (-): 1/2/1 is a very mediocre record, and deserves a mediocre placement.
20.) Muckenhof Manticores (-): Since their opening day upset of Perennial Power Brionne, the Manticores have not been able to muster much.
21.) Praag Grizzlies (+1): Grizzlies are showing great potential in the early stages of this season. Coach Sonrises talent and Blood Bowl wisdom is easily the main reason of this year fantastic performance so far. Only good things can happen in Praag this season. Climbing and the sky is the only limit for the Grizz
22.) Brionne Buccaneers (-9): Will Nuffle ever again smile on this team? The Brionne Moonwalk continues as the shuffle backward down the rankings.
23.) Carroburg Crimson Cascade (-7): 3C has no wins. They lost to Bilbali in round 4. This causes regression of rankings.
24.) Remas Eagles (+3): In their first victory of the season the Birds of Prey killed 2 Season 1 players including Altdorf team captain 'The Heel' as well as a MNG and 2 other injuries. Pretty impressive, but the jury is still out on this team.
25.) Altdorf Thunderbolts (-2): 1st loss of season included loss of 2 or more major players. This could cause problems in the future for the 'Bolts.
26.) Barboza Bruisers (+3): Although the Bucs are in a freefall, a victory over them will give a boost to your rankings.
27.) Fort Solace Griffins (-3): Another loss and the 'Fins freefall continues.
28.) Los Cabos Marauders (+2): Win over the bottom team won't give much of a bump but it will give a little.
29.) Averheim River Bandits (-12): The league's ONLY 4 loss team after 4 rounds. They might should be even lower, but their riding those historic coat-tails for now.
30.) Middenheim Classics (+1): A climb after a loss? I just feel that Middenheim is playing better right now than these other 2 winless teams below them.
31.) Talabheim Sluggers (-3): I've heard Nuffle likes sacrifices... Might wanna try some of that.
32.) Skar Bay Sharks (-): 4-0 loss means they stay right here in the cellar.

Nice job! I said last time i am looking forward to nitpick on the next one, so i feel compelled to do so. Here we go:
I think the ranking is favour to the strong looking teams. Pats, Universe, Knights are at the front without top record over 4 rounds. On the other hand teams with capable players and better record are following them, like White Wolves, 49ers, Thunder and Unicorns.
If the blueprint is followed, then the Greenskins should be much better placed. Lots of STR on the roster, a +AG +STR superstar catcher as ball carrier, and good record.
On the other hand Vikings, Cascade should be lower due to no overwhelming roster and bad records.
Anyway, these are nitpicks, looking forward to the next edition. I wont be surprised by a drop in rankings even with a win, as something will have to give if the teams with best records win again (and again)....

A great read, cheers Arcayn. And I understand why you rank teams higher or lower than their current record on it's own my indicate. I think a perfect power ranking, is one with minimal changes throughout the season, so where you predict where teams will end up, not where they are now.

interesting items to come out of the Sluggers game with Thunder:
1st game of the Season Thunder have caused no casualties indeed given that they caused 13 in their first 3 games, for the Sluggers to come out intact was an achievement.

Further the Sluggers replaced a missing guard on the team!
Now the problem here is, when you look at those things as achievements you already know you're scraping the barrel, but a 2nd half season come back? It could happen, you never know.

its arcs personal rating, no science behind it at all. i guess the 49ers will drop a bit in the next few installments of the ARC ratings, but so far so good!

The initial Pre-season rankings were objective and based on numbers. The subsequent rankings have been purely subjective based on results and adjusted from the previous rankings.
