For 2-3 spectators I guess that saw My Private Army
A confession.
I played a game with my monster-stats-team My Private Army yesterday. 2-3 minutes after my ag6-passblocker had died my opponent (yes...) lost connection. When he didnt show up for 30 minutes I had to go home and cook for my family. We decided later not to finish the game over PMs (his computer had died when he was going for the ball) since I couldnt tell when I had possibility to finish the game and he wanted to keep playing with his team. So, as the bastard I am, the ag6-passblocker is still alive, I feel like a cheater in parts of my soul, and thought that the 2-3 spectators should have the chance to know this, maybe that would make it all feel better as well.

It's not really that different to a 'Birthday' game, where a player dies, but lives on.
I guess you could view it that your player had a really bad dream and woke up in a cold sweat, only to realise that he still had some games ahead and a few more TD's to score!

As long as you didn't set out to do it it's fine. I've been on both sides of this, lost a good flesh golem after a disconnection reload where were forced to backtrack a bit,, but had players return from death through similar means. People who go out of their way to abuse this situation should be shot (don't take that literally), but as long as you follow the policy of doing whatever you would have done anyway if there was nothing riding on it then you have nothing to be guilty about. Rated 6 for honesty as well : )
