Painting miniatures - Last nights agony
How often do you find yourself attending a tabletop event with only a couple days left to paint your miniatures. Then comes that last night before the D-Day and you stay up until 3 am to paint those damn color codes to your positionals.

How often do you decide to go and attend a tabletop event months in advance and still end up in that same situation?

Don't get me wrong but I really like painting miniatures but am really lazy when it comes to painting a team or an army to tabletop standards. I love to see those beautifully painted miniatures in tournaments and it almost makes me hate myself because I don't use the time that my miniatures deserve. Then I end up in that situation that I paint my miniatures to the wee hours of the night just to get them look good and cohesive on the tabletop.

Just like I did before Eurobowl. I slept maybe three hours before my flight to Belgium. Maybe one day I will learn to give my miniatures the respect they deserve.

Just only paint teams well. Then pick your tournament race to match your well-painted team, or borrow a mate's. =D

I could have gone with a painted team tomorrow but I wanted to play with a new one. :D

You cannot be alone in this... the motivation to paint an entire team sometimes is daunting. I fear I may be in the same boat with some of the models I have in the queue.

My dad gave me some good advice (when my wife and I had our first child)... he said "You can always catch up on sleep."
