New fling legend


Bob Ratling became the 7th legend of the Sammiches yesterday after playing the 400th game of the team (don't watch the replay, that was a pretty pathetic game ;)). With his injuries, I was intending to let him die after his last skill roll but... he rolled another 11 and became my first AG5 fling. I don't know what to do. AG5 is great... for TTMs. But TTMs with MA4...

I still have a potion. He could use it but my apo-worthy flings generally live about 100 games, and he's played 79. And I wanted to keep it for a tourney, or for some wtf players. Plus I don't wanna be tempted to chicken my way in GF to try and save the guy I used this one potion on after that (it never works anyway).

I would say if a +2ag player, with 2 doubles, on your favourite team isn't worth a potion then I have no idea what you're saving them for :D

Yeah, I'm a spoiled brat, I've had much better players. :P

Honestly, I was saving it for a treeman since flings are walking corpses, or for a truly exceptional fling, like the ST4 AG4 blackle I had. And I can't decide whether this little dude is exceptional enough by my standards. ><

Hard Choice. I don't know if I would use one on a Fling. I would still keep him. He is still useful.

Of course it is, that's why I'm not too attached to this player. :P

Well, I still have to play another game vs the Agility Monsters, I guess if he survives until then, he'll get the potion.

Yeah, he's gonna have to earn it. :)

Has there even been an s8 Treeman? That would be a great candidate for a scroll. However this fling is an impressive candidate too and he actually exists.

Well I know I'll never get a ST8 tree: both my current trees rolled 12 for their first skill, and I picked Block. Eventually, if a tree roll a double 6 after Block, Dodge, Tackle, I may take +ST... or pick JU or DT instead. :P

I would not potion this one to be honest. His lack of sure feet makes him only decent as a TTM cannonball anyway. Very cool fling, but not the superman that begs for potion use.

gratz on the ag5 fling though. Now you can sack and retrieve with the same player.. ehh... well. If he starts his turn adjacent to the ball carrier anyway. ;)

Ag5 fling is gold. If he usually is too short to score with -ma, it's useful to heal him.
I've used a potion on Stresemann (https://fumbbl.com/p/player?player_id=4317157), I don't regret it, even if he died maybe 20 matches later. You need all your chances to get some records, or at least some fun! This is a game, you cannot be wrong healing him.
But... :P
