Spectating Tournament games is educational
not only do you get to see top coaches on their best (usually ;)), but you also learn a lot from the chat among the spectators.

and sometimes you even get an entry for your "never play that coach willingly" list..

It's also entertaining in the fact everyone puts in their own advice on to how poor the turns were played! Everyone is an expert at spectating and never loses! :-)

I have a perfect unblemished record as a spectator.

Chatting about what to do, etc. is a great learning experience though.

Not just tournament games - speccing top players who play the same races as you is a great way to learn. Add them to your friends list, so you know when they are playing! :)

I also never lost a game spectating.

I remember an FC match with TheGreatGobbo, where we had /cheer and /boo chains that lasted entire turns

It is also great fun. Bring your popcorn.

I've learned some good setups for kick-offs from spectating better coaches matches - good advice!

Educational and fun. Like learning probability theory in school by playing poker with potty mouthed old grinders.
