It is I, Robbert Graaf. I am back to tell you all how the games will go in the playoff in
DLE, so you don't need to watch them live. Last season I went 8/11. The season before? We don't speak of. To those new here, we talk about DLE playoff, that is build like real NFL. 32 teams fight for 12 playoff spots in a season of 16 games. 6 teams from Sigmar Heldenhammer Conference(SHC) and 6 teams from Karl Franz Conference(KFC). The winners of each conference will faceoff in the Grand Finale! SuperBowl (to fanatic fans Superb owl)

We start out with the wildcardround. From the standings you can see who is in. We asked all the 8 coaches some questions, but not all took the time to answer. SHAME! But some did.

We start out with KFC:

The first wildcard game is Hargendorf Unicorns 3rd seed (8/6/2) vs Templehof Thunder 6th seed (9/2/5).

The Unicorns is quite the story. Season 6 was one huge tanking season, and it worked, so the team got big and juicy for this season, with the sole purpose of making playoff. Here they are. Mission accomplished. Unicorns is the most political team in DLE, and The_Murker didn't waste the chance. He is here to promote better league rules, and he desperately wants a TVCap installed, and skilled players from draft must have SPP. (He can do this in DLE2) ;)
Anyway. 1Horns won the division and when we look at the team stats (week 15 for all teams this round) they don't lead anything. No lead in cas, fouls, TDs, defence, blocks. Anything! But they do one thing. They win BloodBowl games. The only thing that really matters. The style is somewhat unortodoks, but they make a good stall, and are always finding a way to make a play happen. We are happy they made the Playoffs.

Thunder got taken over by coach Wreckage after 2 losses in the start of the season, so they were at a handicap to get in the playoff, but they made it on the last spot. Well fought. Coach Wreckage is back from a break in DLE where he ealier ran the universe, and lead them to 2 SuperBowl wins. He has been in the playoff before, and knows what he does. Looking at stats, Thunder made 2nd most blocks with 734 block in 16 games. Impressive. But. Wreckage has not played all he can. Maybe it is because he didn't have a chance to mould the team to his liking, or has he lost some of his edge and the league has caught up with him? I guess time will tell.

Murker has a team he build himself, Wreckage did not. Wreckage has history of winning big games. Murker hasn't. Not in this league. Is this Murker-time? It is! The 2 teams has faced off this season and 1Horns won it 2-1. I think they will do it again. Unicorns win.

Moving on to the other KCF Wildcardgame.

Our own Rotenbach Razorbacks 4th seed (6/7/3)vs Great Ogham Griffins 5th seed (8/4/4)

Razorbacks has a history of making playoff in uneven seasons, so here they are. It is season 7. As always the team gets banged up during the season, and just barely makes playoff. This year division rivals from 49ers were so kind to also stumble, so the division got home. Why isn't Griffins 4th seed with a better record? Because Razorbacks won the division, and Griffins didn't win their division. Razorbacks is very good at flying under the radar and never be in any team stats. But they were on top in cas most of the season, but ended 6th in cas made. They can hit, but have slumped the last couple of rounds.

Griffins came here as a wildcard after finishing 2nd in the division. They have had a great season, with spectacular plays, and a high level of intertainment in the games. Griffins carry some +ST players and a lot of +AG players. That shows in the stats, as they are 3rd in completions(26) and 2nd in passing yards(66). They also sneak in as 6th in blocks made. They like to pass, and hit hard while the opponent is looking at the ball in the air. Clever done.

We look at game with 2 teams who like to punch. Griffins punch a lot, but doesn't hurt much. Razorbacks punch less, but hurt more. In the regular season the Razorbacks won 2-1 after their team got beaten up, and I am faithfull as a reporter out of Rotenbach, that this amazing team can pull off another surprice win against the Griffins.

Onwards to SHC!

First wildcard game is Erengrad Vikings 3th seed(11/2/3) vs Irrana Avalanche 6th seed(7/5/3)

Vikings is a team similar to Razorbacks. Always underdog, but somehow manage to bring home a win. Lots of wins this season! 11 wins, and they still miss the bye week. How about that. And on top they got beaten badly by the Rangers in week 16, so they only bring 14 players to this game. 2 out with MNG. That can be a factor here. A season like this shows in the stats. What else? We bring you the tied best defence (13 TD allowed) and the 5th most scoring offence (29 TDs).On top they are the 4th most blocking team(684 blocks) so they play a good hitting game. A team I hope to see go far.

On the other side we have multiple playoff contenders Avalanche. They are masters of slipping unnoticed into the playoff and go very deep in the playoff. They were the losing side of the superbowl in season 4, so they know what this is about. Avalanche has a consistent team, and bring all 16 players to this game. They are not in any team stats, and I guess that is how it with 6th seed. Having a good enough season to be in the fun end, but not making that big a mark on the season, for it to show anywhere. But don't be fooled. This teams can play ball. Just ask White Wolves about that. They would hate to see Avalance move on and face them in the next round. Right Doofr?

The 2 teams met in the beginning of the season and played a thrilling 2-2 draw. This game is very even. Last season Avalanche roughed up Vikings by beating them 3-0. The fact that Vikings has only 14 players for the game, and Avalanche has a history of playing well in playoffs makes this game very hard to decide. I will go with Vikings here. They have had a very good season, and with a defence like this? It must bring them beyond the wildcard round. Vikings win


The last wildcardgame is Brionne Buccaneers 4th seed (10/3/3) vs Norden Legion 5th seed (10/3/3)
The Bucs is a team of ups and downs. Sometimes they die, and sometimes they die a lot. This season they did just die. And their record shows it. They clinched the division and made playoff. When we turn to the stats we get a lot of info. Bucs is 4th in scoring TDs (30), 4th in completions(25), 4th in passing yards(63) and (dum dum) 4th in rushing yards(534). This is a vey versatile team. Capable of both running and passing. They are hard to predict. They also have one down side. Bucs are 6th in blocks taken. They don't mind taking a punch for the win. Here we have a team that isn't afraid of taking the role as topdog. Coach mean says they will this game.

The Legion is one of my favorite teams in all of DLE. This season the Legion started a very interesting project. I have named it the +AG project. They have no less than 8 players with Agility upgrades. 2 of those are even ag5. A team that has gone elf in a human league. But what about the stats? Surely the lead passing? why, yes they do! 1st in passing yards with 78 yards. That Ag5 player does some magic. This brings back the memory of Cedric the Elf. Can Jamelle "Kaep" Lucas be just as great? After a failed stay with Razorbacks, he got traded to Legion where he truely has shown his potential. In the interview headcoach JackH spend a lot of time talking up the Bucs. But he also mentioned their last encounter in the draw. He will play the chance, but doesn't really believe in it.

When we look at these 2 teams we have to go back a long way to find their last meeting. 3 seasons back they played a stunning 2-2 draw. They have only met this once under current management. JackH got the Legion from Badpublicity, who got the Legion to a Superbowl they lost. Legion got history but with a different coach who also liked the AG project. It is like AG is in the Legion DNA. But can they beat the mighty Bucs? If Bucs can shut down all the dodging, they will win it. If the Legion get to dance around the bucs, they will win it. Despite the coaches agreeing on Bucs as favorites, my call is based on pure gut fellings. The biggest upset of the round? who knows... Legion wins

Finally from those who answered the questions sent out, we have some agreement that Sluggers is the cindarella story of the season with getting a 2nd seed in KFC and grabbing the byeweek. Grats to Datom on job well done. Judging by the fairly small amount of data, it looks like a superbowl final between Patriots from KFC and White Wolves from SHC.
