I bought the new Blood Bowl. So far it looks almost as handsome as I am. We west coasters don't have a problem with bigger boards, as we have used 40mm for at least 12 years. Now with the new set, they have enlarged the Figs, and field. Like I said, we will continue to use the 40 mm fields, so no adjusting here. We have seen many guys use bigger than normal figs over the years. To be frank, my Treemen are already ENORMOUS. The thing is, I have like between 20-30 teams. All those figs look like Flings in comparison. I was in the process of painting my 2nd Ed CDs. Lined up beside a new Orc BoB, it looks like no more than a small child in your eyes. If anyone gets that reference, Ill high five you. BUT, all of this makes sense in the Tolkien world. I was recently rewatching the Hobbit Battle of Fives armies. I always get a big laugh towards the end, when Thorin says too Kili, and Fili, "go ahead, there are a measly 100 Orcs, we will take care of it."
What the Fugg, are you little Dwarfs Neo from the Matrix? There are only 2 of you. How are you going to nonchalantly kill 100 orcs like you were swatting flys? Give me a break. Anyways, I shall use this to justify my 2nd and 3rd Ed Dwarfs and CDs. The old Humans and Elves are a different problem. Don't get me started on the heights they suggest for Elves, and size of Figures. I feel like my whole collection may become obsolete ate some point soon. On another note, bring back Slann!
