Nice, particularly the face
related to your other post about photography, on the team shot
See this lighting guide

Your light is from the side (Split)
So either face them towards the window (Butterfly or Loop)
Or add a second lightsource, a reflector will do. a sheet of tinfoil will do (Split with Fill)
Also the guys in the back aren't quite in focus, so could do with a deeper depth of field = smaller aperture = higher F-stop number
This means less light gets in the camera = longer shutter speed to maintain correct exposure. So to avoid blur from camera shake, increase the amount of light on the scene, or use a tripod. (or tripod and 2-sec delay timer, so you don't shake it with your button presses)
For this photo, its a bit blurry
Which means don't hold the camera, don't hold the miniture, you just shake them.
Its a bit underexposed, but has been boosted by the phone? to look correctly exposed, but that just makes it look a bit muddy. need more light

:D
Yup I get all that, my problems are -
1, the lightsource is my window,
2, my painting light is a "natural light" light bulb so creates wavy lines in photos, so can't be used.
3, my camera is my phone and my phone is old. an S6 i think?
4, i have shaky hands.
I think photos are a lost cause for me :D

but thank you anyway, still good advice :)

maybe if you put the miniature on the table your shaking hands are of less concern ;)
cool goblin team

couldn't get it in focus anywhere other than my hand haha, and even then its barely in focus

You can single tap on the screen to set a focus point? Eg the face
If you're moving stuff with your hands the focus has to keep adjusting to compensate and won't always stay
Instead, try propping phone against a stack of books or something and have the mini on the table
& Add more light

yeah i did the single tap thing with my phone, but it is an S6 so really old
I think the biggest issue is i need lights. that i can take a photo with

White paper is your friend. Or rather, if you can't afford expensive lights and a light box, use sheets of paper to reflect the light so there's more of it, and (possibly) put your main lamp behind a thin sheet of paper to diffuse it more

Nice looking model, very clean and the colours pop.
He seems glued to an odd part of the base, wobbly model syndrome?

naa, as the main ball carrier i positioned him off center so there is plenty of room for the ball, so it doesn't keep falling off :)
