<i>Every so often in the Southern Wastes, roaming bloodbowl teams will chance upon each other as they trek across the few trails that traverse this sun-baked land in search of a game. With little love lost between the teams, it doesn't take long for the action to begin...</i>
This group is the home for SWL's instant knockout tournaments. It is also the home for the SWL Bush Leagues, <a href="http://www.fumbbl.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=18960">see the forum</a> for details.
<b>When:</b> - whenver you're hanging out in #swl and hunting with a few other coaches and want a little extra blood and adrenalin above and beyond a regular swl fringe game, then (in irc) bellow a smackdown challenge to all who would dare!
<b>What is it?</b> - a smackdown challenge will be either a 4-team or 8-team instant knockout tournament, depending on available numbers. Four is usually better as it can easily get done in one night. If you want eight, then be prepared to start early or postpone the final till another night.
<b>How: </b> - once someone issues a challenge, you'll need to haggle amongst yourselves to an agreeable TR limit. The best games are usually at or just below TR200, but that will often depend on what teams each coach has (or what they're inclined to play). Once you've decided on a tr limit, then all who wish to join must sign up with a team to this page.
<b>Draw: </b> - last, but not least, you need a swl smackdown admin to whip up your draw before the frenzy can commence! You'll need to have one of the admins listed here around, or you're stuck! If you're keen on doing the yards yourself, PM snorri and he'll add you to this illustrious group of corrupt officials.
<b>Post-Tourney: </b> - if you were an entrant, remove yourself from this group, if you are an admin, clean up the page of teams (except for the filler!). This way its easy to judge who's wanting to join a tourney when it comes time to run one as the list of teams will only be the 'on the spot' adrenalin junkies.
