The Grey Cup
The Grey Cup is awarded to the team that wins the
championship and is the ultimate prize in the CFFL.

MVP - Jack Orange (Big Hand)

The Wooden Maple Syrup Ladle
The Ladle, though the tastiest award, is also the most dubious.

Player of the Year - Season 5
PlayerTeamBy the numbers
Leap for the Lulz!Calgary Vanquishers104 SPP: 17 Comp, 24 TDs, 4 CAS, 1 MVP, 57 Pass, 364 Rush, 43 Blocks - Calgary PR: People should know that coming into this season, not a lot was known about Leap. She was a newer player - only entering her second season - so where would she find playing time amongst the well-established superstars among the team? Well, she exceeded all expectations - handling the ball perfectly, gazing zombies, elves, and ladies alike to peel open feeble cages. She could have scored more - but instead would pass the ball to her teammates for scores - truly she did it all! She achieved legend status mastering the skill of Leap as her final skill. She is truly a legend for what she has accomplished in such a short period of time. Even off the field, her thralls have only the nicest things to say about her!
Player of the Month - Season 5
PlayerTeamBy the numbers
1Leap for the Lulz!Calgary Vanquishers5 Cps, 6 TDs, 4 CAS - Leap nearly doubled the SPP of any other nominee, producing perhaps the best all around month of play the CFFL has ever seen. Her efforts lead Calgary to 2 wins & 2 draws, while outscoring their opponent 11-4 in the first month of play.
2Brendan DunnWinnipeg Claw Bombers8 CAS - Considered a lost season for Winnipeg after losing so many super stars to start the season, Dunn has helped the team scratch out 3 draws this month.
3UanHope Hop-A-Longs5 CP, 2 TD, 1 CAS - Uan is the Hope's top talent and essentially runs their offence. In a month where other top contenders were all specialists, he was the all-rounder.
4Grosp GravestalkerRiverdale Greyskins2 CP, 8 TD - It may surprise many folks that Riverdale had the best record this final month of the season at 4/1/0...paced by their incredible budding superstar ghoul.
Player of the Week - Season 5
PlayerTeamBy the numbers
1Kate LamCalgary Vanquishers5 CAS - These were no goblins that Kate took down. Instead she killed super stars Buck and Milt, and retired Alex, another beastman. In addition, she badly hurt two chaos warriors and overall, dominated the pitch.
2Kyil JoomiesToronto WAARGHonauts3 CAS - Joomies gave Toronto the numbers advantage and did all that could be asked of him to secure the win.
3Jim CroodeRottawa Rough Risers3 CAS - Jim went on an ugly rampage and killed 3 players; two blitzers, one a rookie, the other an emerging star. The final was the troll, who managed to regenerate. He was "on" this match, ...as was all of Ottawa really. (Co-winner)
3QuaaerlHope Hop-A-Longs1 TD, 1 CAS - A maimed blitzer (-ma) he rose to the occasion when needed and was a thorn in Winnipeg's side all game, propelling them to a 2-0 victory. (Co-winner)
4Richard "Long" RichardsYellowknife Perpetrators2 TDs, 1 CAS - A dominating all around performance in Yellowknife's 3-2 victory.
5Z'ZorNorth York Bears1 TD - Z'zor made the play of the game to take control for North York. With no RRs, the AG 4 wrestle linerat dodged through the Dark Elf defence and GFI'ed twice to score.
6Gregory BirdleHamilton Tomb Cats1 TD, 1 CAS - Hamilton's do it all skeleton was at it again with agile hands to take the hand off for the first half score, adding another punishing hit for good measure.
7Mortimer "The Bold" JamesYellowknife Perpetrators1 Cmp, 2 TD, 1 CAS - Mortimer "The Bold" James. The two-headed thrower (geez it is creepy when interviewing him) had a career day picking up the slack for Gary in a dynamic 3-2 win.
8AzarBC Felions3 CAS - Hamilton coach Lorebass was overheard cursing about getting so close, but falling short. It was BC legend Azar that led the charge as her ST 4 was invaluable against the tomb guardians.
9Hargin FleetfootHalifax Hunters2 TDs - A dominating dwarf victory - Fleetfoot is a truly an excellent budding star (+ST) that could lead the Dwarves to the playoffs! (footnote: He died 2 games later.) (Co-winner)
9Bertha B. BiggYellowknife Perpetrators2 CAS - This was Bertha's coming out party. The Warpstone Troll has played 18 games...yet this was the first time she picked up 2 CAS. She also was on the field for the entire game - providing a critical roadblock against the tomb guardians. (Co-winner)
10John DuhhhhBrandon Cheat Kings1 TD, 1 CAS - Secured the draw with a TD and provided lots of laughs for the spectators. The goblin classic! Yellowknife looked to be in control, scoring after a full half stall. Brandon got some good hits and took charge in the second half, but when the ballcarrier was hit along the sideline and the ball went out of bounds - it looked like Yellowknife would hold on for the win. But wait! The ball...it is bouncing...no goblins are nearby...but STOMP STOMP, here come John Duhhhh, he snatches the ball out of the air - promptly trying to eat it as goblins scurry around between his legs. The crowd goes wild and goblins are yammering about heading to the endzone. John just looks around until Kryten has his minions hold up a picture of a cute (your mileage may vary) troll maiden above the endzone. John Duhhhh turns on the jets (again...not sure this analogy quite fits here)...and two turns later lumbers into the endzone to secure the draw as time expires!
11Mugdul MuggerHigh Level Raiders2 CAS - The upstart High Level blitzer took out two Cheater players to help them secure their first CFFL point.
12Urul BloodknifeHigh Level Raiders2 TDs - Urul scored both touchdowns for the team, one in a spectacular fashion, defying all odds, and giving the Raiders their first CFFL victory.
13UanHope Hop-A-Longs2 TD, 1 CP - He scored two key touchdowns and delivered an important pass for the last one to win the match. (Co-winner)
13Creeping CoryRiverdale Greyskins2 CAS - The skeleton permanently took out two of the most dangerous Brandon players, one in a spectacular three dice uphill block. (Co-winner)
14Grosp GravestalkerRiverdale Greyskins2 CP, 2 TD - for guiding an incredible comeback for the undead, scoring twice and also passing for 2 more TDs.
15Where's the Puck?Brandon Cheat Kings2 TDs - for scoring twice against dwarves and heck, managing to stay on the field for 16 turns as well, is an accomplishment with that much tackle out there!
16KinberlyBC Felions2 TDs, 1 INT - Leading the charge, picking off the hapless vampires and scoring twice - the second time she was heard taunting the Calgary sidelines...
17Grosp GravestalkerRiverdale Greyskins2 TDs - For really impressing with the Riverdale last season run...their success in the playoffs is definitely going to ride on his shoulders. (Co-winner)
17SadnessCalgary Vanquishers5 Fouls for 3 CAS - Removed the 3 best players on Hope's team and then also served himself up as a tasty snack after doing all the hard work. (Co-winner)
17Mr. StickBrandon Cheat KingsFor fouling Jim Croode, unassisted, and breaking his neck, with no regeneration. After 93 games, it was the first time he ever missed a game for Rottawa. (Co-winner)
