MATCH BLURB -->The Tequila Drinkers have had an unbelievable tournament so far. 3 straight wins has seen the bookies slash the odds on the Mexicans becoming the next World Cup holders and with star strikers Hugo Ayayayayala & Giovani dos Drinkos who can blame them.

The amazons of Nigeria on the other hand looked like they'd be on their way home after losing to Argencheater in the first game. But two no shows from the opposition in their 2nd and 3rd games mean the Super Eagles qualify for the 2nd round and whilst rumours abound that Nigerian gold has ended up in Greek & Korean pockets we doubt that the mexicans will be worried by the opposition or interested in their metal. Afterall these hombres are only interested in the liquid gold, Tequila!

MATCH BLURB -->Despite qualifying top of group C The Bulldogs have had a rocky ride into the 2nd round. Hopes were high after defeating the United States of A Merry Dwarf who were considered the Albions toughest rivals. But those hopes came crashing down after scrapeing a 0-0 draw with the lowly Atlas Nomads and then dropping points to the Slovenia sewers after they scored a 95th minute equaliser.

The sweeties of Serbia were also lucky to qualify after losing their first two matches. Fortunately the beautiful amazon girls won their last game and scored more goals than their rivals from Germania and Australia who also ended up on 3 points.

Whilst this matchup will be a close call bookies expect the muscle and tackling ability of Albion to prove too much for the ladies from Serbia.

MATCH BLURB -->The Dutch always impress in qualifying for World Cups and this years qualifiers were no exception. The group stage however has seen the orange men start to unravel. Sure they qualified top of the group (after a coin toss between them and Dead Marked) but a win and two draws hardly seems like Championship winning form and with ego's as big as Frank 'spit' Rijckaart's, Clarence 'de nek' Seedorf's and Mark 'klein eikeltje' Overmars its only time before they stop fighting the opposition and start fighting with each other.

Things would seem to look good for the Chaos Dwarves then until they look around and find that they have 7(count em!) hobgoblins taking to the field.
Psycodorf Chaostitution, like the Super Eagles seem to have bought their way into the 2nd round but pundits feel that their gold would have been better spent on some more dwarves or a troll. Hobgoblins can barely thread two sentences together nevermind understand game tactics. Coach Nocciolino can only hope that when the dwarves knock the opposition down the hobgobs will naturally put the boot in.

MATCH BLURB -->It's Orc on Orc action as Spanish fury meet the IvORCary Coast in what could be the one of the most exciting or dullest (you decide) matches of the round. With a match this evenly balanced it could well come down to pure luck. That said the IvORcary Coast may have the edge as they are coached by OrcMaster, Russo. Russo is well known in Spain (he's coached last seasons OBBA Champions B'ORCalona) and whilst the fury might no his strengths and weaknesses the question is: Can they exploit them?

The bookies money is on Russo but that may leave Coach Toriel with a point to prove.

MATCH BLURB -->Expectations are always high for the rats of Brazil. And rightly so. They have won this tournament more times than any other. They play fast, free flowing football and they produce world class players like Junhinhoho & Bobo. However they come up against one of the suprise teams of the tournament, Switzerlandead.

Switzerlandead have had a fantsatic start to their World Cup campaign winning all three of their group matches. They have worked well as a team but have some rising stars to match those of Brazil. In Philippe Senderos they have a monster to be feared by all but treemen and they have pace-whilst not as quick as the Brazillians-that gives them the option to score quickly as opposed to the traditional grinding down of the opponents.

While the average punter will no doubt bet on the Amazon Rats (and who could blame them) the smart money is on Switzerlandead.

MATCH BLURB -->The 6th matchup of the round see's the sort of fun that is normally reserved for Halloween as the undead of Slow-Vakia meet the necromantics of Dead Marked.

This game is almost too close to call. Alot could ride on who recieves first.
Dead Marked should have no problems scoring but will they have the metal to keep the 1,2 sucker punch that is Vladimír Weiss and Marek Hamšík at bay?

Alot will depend on whether Dead Marked can keep speedster star player Jesper Barch safe from the oppositions fists.

While this one will be close the pundits think the strength of Slow-Vakia will win out.

MATCH BLURB -->Coach DukeTyrion has certainly whipped his team into shape with the elves seemingly adopting the Manchester United philosophy of we dont care how many you score against us, we'll score one more than you! And so far it's a tactic that has worked having won 3-2 in the first game, 2-0 in the second(ok so they scored 2 more) and 1-0 in their last game. They will of course be hopeing that the pattern of scoring doesn't continue tho (3,2,1,0 for the goblinoids out there).

In fact The Duke (as the players call him) is so confident in his teams abilitiy that he has changed the name of the country from Ghana to Ghana Win It.

Up against them are the rats from the sewers of Slovenia. Their World Cup has been a mixed bag so far. They lost to Algeria, beat the U.S and grabbed a last gasp draw against England. Worryingly they have one of their 3 gutter runners already ruled out of the match due to injury and strong rat Handanovic is a doubt with groin strain.

With one gutter runner on the field a skaven team has a chance but it will be a tough game for the rats. Some even think it will be a walk in the sewe..sorry park for the High Elves of Ghana.

MATCH BLURB -->Pundits had been saying that South Africa didn't have a chance of qualifing for the 2nd round since they were installed as tournament hosts. And that was BEFORE it was announced that the country would be represented by its halflings. So the fact that these plucky fellows have qualified for the 2nd round is reason for the nation to celebrate as it is. What's more astounding is that they actually have a reasonable chance of making the quarter finals. This is in no small part down to the fact that Argencheater are struggling.

Qualifying for the 2nd round came at a high price to Argencheater with Javier Zanetti picking up an injury in the last game and the death of Bull centaur Lionel Messi.

Argencheater can only hope that the Aftrican Treemen take root quickly so that they can then dictate the game to the halflings.
This could be a real interesting match and the home sides ability (or lack of ability) to throw team mate could be the decider.
