“Luck was on my side for this Uber's 1K match.

1st half:

Uber receives and 2-turns the 1st score after I was unable to get behind his receivers. 1-0.

I receive and my catchers get bunched up behind the High Elves defense. Pro elves try and dance around in a loose cage until someone can get free. In the process the High Elves ag5 leaping stripballer SI's himself leaping into the cage without a reroll. My thrower gets chainpushed out of the cage and is blitzed into the ko box. High Elves eventually recover and my attempt to blitz down his blodger with the ball sees no pows. 2-0.

2nd half:

I receive and push my catchers up the middle of the pitch. One gets stunned but the other is left standing and only covered on one side. Safe thrower delivers the ball and Fanon dodges away for the TD. 2-1.

High elves receive and I again fail to blanket a receiver which results in an easy dodge for a pitch-and-catch score. 3-1.

Pro Elves in bad shape now try pushing 2 catchers along the right sideline. Manage to mark the backside of the blanket, 1-die away the front, and run to the endzone to wait for the pass and score. Very risky as failure prolly = a surfing lesson but it pays off. 3-2.

High Elves receive again and I load up every bit of speed to one side and kick short. His catcher goes to get the ball but double one's the pickup - what dumb luck for me! Blitzer marks and catcher knocks away his catcher for my other catcher to scoop the ball and dip behind a loose screen. High Elves get a guard on the ball and send a blitzer in, but he stumbles before he can deliver the blow. One block later and the Pro Elves equalize. 3-3.

High Elves have 2 turns to win it and push 4 elves behind my defense. Pro Elves manage to knock back and down the ag5 guy to take him out of scoring range. Other 3 elves are only marked. High Elves free up a lineman with a blitz and are 2gfi, a quick pass and another gfi away from the win but the catcher fails the 2nd gfi and the game ends tied in a surprising fashion.

Postgame:

I guess the fans liked what they saw as both teams ff's went up after a tie with no casualties. 40k winnings allow me to buy an 8th lineman again and no serious injuries means these Pro Elves are back to 16 again (although 2 nigglers).

Uber outplayed me this game but was unlucky at a few important moments while I got lucky at all the right ones.”
