#12 Zarzarn Bladestalker – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#12 Zarzarn Bladestalker – Smashed Knee (NI)
Noooo!! I woz robbed!!!

If only I'd had that extra 0.03 CR points I've have been able to overcome purplegoo's evil lucker dices.

I'm sure we only had to do all those re-loads so he could some sort of cheater hack. I played a perfect game and made no mistakes at all, my loss must be down entirely to luck or something even more sinister . ;)

Now only Gritter can stop the Bears gaining a perfect 10/0/0 record and retaining the Hammerheim title.

Still at least my wizard was well worth the money, he niggled the annoying bountied ST4 thrower Gamble and I did get to kill a ST3 catcher (sadly saved by the apoth).

To anyone who doesn't know me & Purp, the above report is all in jest. Purp is a great guy and really good player. He's beaten me 3 times now in the NFL and rather than whining about being unlucky, I'm just more determined to play better so I can finally beat him.

The Doom Gate Killer's rebuild begins now.
16 DP's FTW!

#14 Gamble – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#14 Gamble – Smashed Knee (NI)
A good day for the Bears as Nuffle smiled upon us.

The first half was a mighty cagey affair with spubb and the Elves looking after the ball until turn 8, when an attempted mid-range strike was foiled by a snaked GFI. The Darkies still (I felt) had the advantage as we moved to my possession, as the wizard loomed large.

As the Bears caged around one side of the pitch being careful not to let Gamble get lightning bolted, we moved to within endzone range, and spubbbba stuck as the Elves were getting knocked out. The fireball hit only the carrier, but it was enough, as Gamble got niggled, and the Killers were but a few 2+ and 3+'s away from getting the ball and moving it to a safe distance. Alas, another snake at the vital time, and a stalled victory was ours. On to Gritter!

I must say that spubb was mighty unlucky here, not a good way to go out of a tournament, but he took it with his usual good grace and fine humour. He'll win this one of these seasons. One day, he'll get the rub of the green against me, and will give me the thrashing I deserve!
