“I was dreading this game. The additional time I had to fret over it probably didn't help much. Still, there's a lot of Foul Appearance around to mess up my Elves and Tenticles to trap em.
Clay started, pushing forward slowly and KO'ing a few elves. Home and Away got BH'ed and a foul KO'd another elf. I managed to BH Clay's DP, but with all that ST4 I was struggling to stop the "Clage" (Patent Pending) rolling onwards. Near the TZ, I managed to sneak through and sack the ball carrier with 2 die against, only to have it spill away from my players. Clay retrieved and scored. 1-0, turn 7.
I had two turns to score, so ran like hell, putting 4 elves in reach. His Beast failed his RS roll which helped a heap and I managed to get the ball to Dixie Chicks who scraped home for the equaliser. 1-1, first half.
2nd half, and KO rolls didn't go my way, being down a Guarder and Blodger. I lined up, only to have Café Froid KO'd for me by a thrown rock. Was that you OB?
I moved forward more slowly this time, trying to use up some turns, but a few more KOs and things looked desparate. My main scoring opps got sacked and I had to turn to Iron Maiden for a double GFI effort. 2-1, with 6 turns for Clay to score. At least my KOs came back this time.
Clay set up, only to have Perfect Defense come up. Not that I could do much, but a little repositioning never hurts. Clay pushed forward but this time I KO'd a few players of my own and having only two Rotters hurt quite a bit. I managed to get a 1die on the ball carrier and it came up POW! I then held out while Clay tried to get the ball and get a player in scoring range, only narrowly missing out on a chain push trick. 2-1, final score.
This was a really tense but enjoyable game, thx a heap Clay. It was an arm wrestle to the end. Gl with the rest of the season.

#3 - Gâteau D'Anniversaire - A lotta blocks and a cas, and Guard was very annoying
#2 - Prenez Garde de la Maman - The BEAST! While a few players managed to slip away from this pain, mostly they got trapped. What with Guard, it was a nightmare to deal with.
#1 - La Boule de Débutante - Score and a Cas, whatta game.
Special mention to Chance Putréfiée, the other Tenticled player. While only ST3, it still caused me no end of trouble.

If I had my time again, I would have kicked first and tried the 15 turn / 2TD drive rather than trying to hold out the DE's twice in the middle section of the game. The TD right before Half Time was annoying.
But to the game itself, it was a good one and the annoyance that Rotters pose to a passing team is a joy to play. My team is developing nicely and if I have a good run injury wise, I may hope to be in Premier down the track in a season or two!
What I do lack though is some tackle and with so many Blodgers, the DE's were able to move around well, but it was not to be in the end and the DE's played a good defence too and that was what won them the game.
3pts - Dixie Chicks: Extra AG and MBlow meant that this DE was sniping away all the time. I took great joy when he was trapped by the Beast and then fouled into the BH box.
2pts - Iron Maiden: A kicker getting Twahnlow points? Yes, the kicks were well placed including a nice sideline job and made my cage take a bit longer to form... also scored a TD.
1pt - Thousand Cuts: Another AG dodge merchant who was able to freely roam the field. Nearly broke away too at one stage causing me to send my only tackler after him... I brought him down, but that is always nerve wracking having AG5 running away from you with the ball!
